'Thank you for showing me that there are people like you in this world'
Outside of our tiny room that we were given to talk in, we find blood. Blood of a person. He has a hole in his chest with crimson red blood flowing freely out. His hair is mangled and sweat lays on his forehead. A sharp-ish defined chin stood out to me. It was Brady. Brady's features were all disoriented and mutated. Only his face was left untouched. But even if his face wasn't touched, doesn't mean something else didn't happen. Sticky red blood covered the left side of his face and words were carved into his face.
You are the first to die or the first to go. Sweet dreams.
The message didn't sit well with me. Some of it was carved into his shoulder and arm. Yet it seemed to be a continuous sentence.
I stare at the message strangely while Matt's arm wraps around me tightly, protecting me in a way of sorts.
"H-he's dead. . ." I trail off my sentence with complete shock.
". . ." There's not a good response to that sentence so I don't blame him for staying silent.
"I- why?" I start to speak but I just can't. I can't do it.
"I don't know. But there is one thing that might explain it. It just a bit of a stretch." He seems eerily calm. Too calm. But still, I'm curious and I don't want to be killed or anything so I'm listening.
"Tell me. Tell me everything you know." I command him. I'm going to get to the bottom of this killing before I get affected. I would say a cheesy line about not losing Matt and stuff, but I don't really feel like thinking that at all.
"Well. . . This place might be infected with a killer demon." He plays with his fingers while looking at the floor.
"And you think this why?" I ask not believing his words for a second.
"We're in the house that you stayed in for the season. This house has had unknown reports of satanism and paranormal activity here before. Blood has been reported and shouts have been heard from this house. All of this occurred before your mother (YO MAMA! Sorry, triggered.) bought this house."
"So? You don't know if that's true or not! You didn't exactly tell me the real reason why you broke up with me! I just assumed that I wasn't good enough for you! And now I know that it wasn't you, it was me! I was too good for you!" I tell him off in an 'orderly' manner.
"I wish I could make you trust me, but if you give me time. . . I can prove it to you. Because if I had a second chance I wouldn't need a third." He whispers to me.
"I forgive you. You did hurt me, but I forgive you. There's no use fighting it. I forgive you and I mean it." I have no idea what came over me, but I just said that I forgave him. And I actually- I actually mean it.
"Thank you. Thank you for giving me a second chance and time to make it up to you. Because that's the most important gift of all." I can feel his breath on me mixing with the cold air.
"I missed you. And after all this time, it's still you." I can feel his words pressing on me wth tremendous heat.
"Truth is, I'm still waiting for you." I can feel the whisper of my words fade into the background as he leans closer to me.
"I thought I knew pain until I saw you with Chase." I can feel the intensity in the room.
"I used to believe in true love, but then I got my heart torn out and broken. I just don't know why I keep on loving you." He smiles at that.
"I'll never let go of you." That's all it takes for him to capture my lips with his.
And I'm breathless.
"I fell in love with you because you loved me when I couldn't love myself." I tell him.
"I choose you. And I'll choose you over and over. Without a pause or a doubt. In a heartbeat, I'll choose you over anything else."
And those are the last words that are spoken before the lights flicker off.
*sings in loud screeching voice*
CAN YOU FEEL THE CRINGE TONIGHT? I must've just ruined The Lion King for you, but oh well. This was so cringe to write and even cringer to proofread. Honestly, I'm sorry for ruining your life with this story. But ehh. I don't really care. All I care about is feeling like crying while looking at ridiculous love quotes. *cough cough* YES ITS COMPLETELY NORMAL. OKAY? *cough cough*
