Hours later, the bell rang and recess time came to an end. I went back to our classroom. I was lucky 'cause Kusanagi-sensei was not there yet.

Then Yuricchan approached me.

"Where have you been, Hana-chan?," she asked.

"I went to the Science Room," I answered.

" What did you do there?"

"I searched for Akatsuki-senpai and asked him something."

"What did you asked?"

"I asked him about the flower he gave to Yatogami-san."

"So, what was the flower?"

"He said it was the bird's-foot trefoil flower."

Then after a couple of minutes, Kusanagi-sensei arrived.

"Okay class, open your books on page 50. Copy the text with the title 'Properties of Metals' up to page 55. I will not be able to supervise you 'cause there will be a teachers' meeting," she said.

"With that I will assign one Student Council officer to supervise you. He'll be here later," she added then left.

We all opened our books that Kusanagi-sensei said and started copying the text.

Three minutes later, Akatsuki-senpai came to our room.

"What's Akatsuki-senpai doing here?," I asked in my mind.

Then, he announced something.

"Kusanagi-sensei asked me to supervise you while she's away on a teachers' meeting," he announced.

What!? So Akatsuki-senpai was the Student Council officer Kusanagi-sensei was referring to.

I was just doing what Kusanagi-sensei told us to do when I sensed that some people were staring at me.

All the girls in our class were staring at me. Yuricchan looked at me with a smile in her face.

I just ignore them continued what I am doing, taking down notes.

Several hours later, school hours have ended. As I was about to exit the school gate, Yuricchan approached me.

"Do you know why all the girls were staring at you awhile ago?," she asked.

"No," I responded.

"It's because Akatsuki-senpai was only looking at you," she said.

"So...?"

"They became jealous. In their perspective, you're becoming very popular even though you're just a transferee."

"Well, tell them it's not my intention to become popular. And I'm not the one who's approaching them. It's THEM who're approaching me."

"What about Akatsuki-senpai? You're the one who approached him, didn't you?"

"Demo atashi no ito wa kare ni ichatsuku koto janai deshita. Kare ni nanika o tou koto deshita yo. [But my intention was not to flirt with him. It was to ask him something. ]"

Then we parted ways.

Before going back to my boarding house, I shopped first for my afternoon lunch.

I went to the nearest department store to buy some foods. I was searching for the cheapest high quality meat when my phone rang.

Kojou-kun was calling.
