Demon

chapter eighteen.

A few months past.

You were going out today, excited because you've haven't been out in a long time.

It's been a while since you've went to a party with friends.

You met people from school who liked you for you and became friends with them. I wasn't too sure of them but as long as you're happy, I'm happy. So you put on your makeup and looked even more beautiful than before. You did your hair and put on a short dress and became confident for once. I looked you up and down, approving of your outift. You looked so perfect, angel. I stroked your hair and smiled at you while you made some ajustments. Then your friends came in their car and you ran to them with me following. I need to make sure you're safe. I sat next to you in the cramped car and listened while you all talked and smiled. I looked at your wrist and saw that you were trying to hide the scars with your hand. No one saw or noticed of course, but I took your wrist and kissed it. You're still beautiful to me.

When we got to the party, I was amused at how it was a club instead of a house. It was packed with people and they all seemed dangerous. I glared and stayed very close to you, making sure you were okay. Everything on the inside was filled with people dancing and drinking. They seemed to be having a good time. I looked at you and you were dancing with your friends too. I wasn't too sure of this place, since there were bad looking people here, but I smiled at you being so happy. 

Your friends dragged you onto the dance floor and some guy went up to you and danced with you. I scowled and watched as he held your hand. I growled and pulled him back and he looked around, confused. No one can see me, not yet I think. I snarled at him while your friends pulled you somewhere else. They're bad influences. I don't like them at all. I clentched my jaw and followed you and they sat you down on a couch and gave you some pill. You didn't want to do it. I know you didn't. But you wanted to fit in and be like them..So you took it and shut your eyes tightly. You smiled widely afterwards and stumbled around. They laughed at you and took pictures. You were lied to. And you were high and a mess. That's it. While they laughed at you, I snarled at them and I could tell by that time, they could notice me. They screamed and tried to run away but I caught up to them. They're just like every other human. Pathetic.

I threw them against the wall and growled more. They tried to fight back but I was stronger. "Don't ever do that again." I snarled out. They nodded slowly and I was about to kill them but I saw you in the corner of my eye, struggling to move. You were more important so I just knocked them out and went to you. You looked at me and grinned and laugehd, still high. I picked you up and snuggled my head into your neck, enjoying this moment. I snuck out the back and ran to your home, and put you on your bed. You laid there, dizzy and still not sure of your surroundings. I stroked your hair and held you in my arms. "It's okay princess." I whispered. You were getting sleepy so I held you tighter and kissed you on your forehead. "Sleep, little human.." You nodded and slept and I just wished I could be able to sleep with you and just dream about you. But I couldn't because monsters can't sleep. But just being able to be with you is okay enough..

I know you wouldn't remember anything of this tomorrow. You wouldn't remember the pills. Or the dancing. Or me saving you. You would just wake up with a headache and really tired. And you wouldn't be able to see me again. I think I've figured it out. I shouldn't love you. I shouldn't feel this way towards you. Demons can't fall in love because the world doesn't work that way. But I don't care. You're my everything. The world isn't in control of me or you. I will love you forever. Sleep well beautiful.. See you tomorrow.
