Scarlet's POV:

Even though we just moved into our grandfather's old house, it was already furnished with each room having a nameplate on the door with their respective names etched into it.

'Grandfather must've planned ahead before he left to move in with Mother Katy.' I thought to myself.

"Scarlet, William needs help putting his clothes away." I heard Gabriel's voice through the intercom.

"Okay, I'll be down in a minute." I replied back through the intercom.

I walked out of the dance room and down the stairs to the second floor.

I reached William's room and saw his clothes all out of their boxes and scattered all over the floor.

"William, how many times do I have to tell you to ask for help?" I said in a scolding tone while trying my hardest to not laugh at the scene played out before me.

"Too...many..t-times..." He said slowly, sounding out the words.
I let out a small laugh before walking over to him and helping him put his clothes away neatly in the closet.

Once we finished I looked at the clock hanging on the wall and realized it was 11:30 am, almost lunch time.

"Alright, time to get started on lunch! What should I make today?" I asked William.

"Pizza! Pizza!" He cheered all the way down the stairs. Of course he could say THAT word perfectly.

We walked into the kitchen.

"Homemade pizza it is!" I said happily as I fished out all of the ingredients from their hiding places in the cupboards and fridge.

"Oh! Scarlet is making her famous pizza." Owen joked, walking into the kitchen.

I stopped making the pizzas and turned to faced Owen.

"Hey, Owen. How did your gig go?" I asked him, already knowing it went well. After all he is a great singer and guitar player well in my opinion.

"It was amazing, and I got two hundred dollars extra." He said smirking.

"Where's Darius? Is he not with you?" I asked looking around the kitchen.

"Nope, he went up stairs to take a nap." he replied.

"Oh, okay. Did I ever tell you, dad came home late last night?" I asked.

"No. What did he do? Did he do something to you?" He said with a growl.

"Of course not. He just came into the kitchen tripping over his own feet. He kept saying 'I'm sorry' over and over again, like he normally does when he's drunk." I told him.

"Yeah.." he said not believing me.

"What! You don't believe me. You know Dad would never hurt me." I said.

"You're damn right I don't believe you. Dad told me he slapped you, on the night William was born and when Mother Chloe died. So don't tell me he wouldn't hit you!" he growled again.

"That's enough, Owen!" Darius said standing in the doorway.

"Why? We can't hide it from her any longer, than we have been!" Owen yelled.

"I understand that, but yelling at her would just bring her old self back." Darius said.

"NO! It won't!" I yelled in defense.

"Scarlet, you know it's true. Ever since Adrian dumped you for another bitch!" Elijah yelled walking into the kitchen.

"Shut up! You know nothing, Elijah. Nothing!" I yelled tears flowing down my face.
