That Day

Melanie's POV

I was scared of what James was going to do to Josh. I attempted to get up a second time to go see if James was okay and Dan pulled me down. "No," he spoke. "No? Why?" "because you're not getting hurt again." He voice went dull and it seemed as if he wanted James to hurt Josh. I shoved my way out of his arms but when I finally got up, James was there to catch my fall. I looked into his eyes filled with furry and hate, but not towards me. "Are you okay?" That's was a stupid questions. "No, I am not okay! If he thinks he can do that to anyone he wants he is a coward and just a plain dumb ass!" 

James' POV

What have I done? I made Melanie cry what an idiot I am. Josh isn't the only dumb ass in her life, I am too. I walked to her in fear I might be more of a harm to her. " I'm so sorry. please forgive me," I pleaded. I didn't want to be someone in her life that yelled at her. I didn't want to be like Josh. I saw her wearing and the next thing I know, she is leaping into my arms not standing, but just leaning on me.

Melanie's POV

I didn't want him to be mad at himself for expressing his feelings. The pain was extreme when I got up, but I don't care about my foot I still didn't want them to be mad or upset. "We need to take you to the hospital," James commented. Before I could respond he was picking me up and carrying me down the stairs. I just held on tighter.
