Eryn and I sat in a corner and stared into the darkness while someone, whispered my name over and over again. Then something different came. "Come to me," it said, and it sounded as if a part of me was being sucked into them. Then my mind becomes blank and my face is being pulled. I can hear Eryn screaming next to me. It pulls my face hard enough to drag my whole body. I face plant and everything stops.

I remain asleep for about a week, Eryn told me. My mind was totally reset and I have a massive headache. "Ava, we need to get out of this dark place. I spent 6 months not believing I can do it because I was alone. Now I'm confident, I am now not alone, we can do this together." I yawn unaware as to what's going on. "I'm really hungry and thirsty," I said. "Oh, Let's go to the small river I found, which is a reason why I'm still alive. I get food from the apples on the dead trees, which somehow grow to be delicious!" Eryn seemed cheerful. On our way to the river we picked many apples from the dead trees. It didn't make sense but she was right, they were absolutely delicious. The water was nice. "Maybe we should stay here from now on, we can call it 'base'," I suggested. "Good idea," she said.

My newest fear in this place is no longer the darkness, but the creatures that do something to my mind, which I'm pretty sure is bad. Eryn is always a witness to those, and she might even be more terrified than me. I'm scared that it'll happen again.

"What's the plan?" I ask. "First of all, there are a lot of things we don't know about this place, we can't create a plan without knowing where to go." What she had said was true, but I knew what to do. "That's part of the plan my dear," I said and winked at her.

"You said you were attacked in the light too right?" Eryn asked me. "Yes, maybe that's a sign that the light is dangerous," I suggested. "Alright so remember to stay in the darkness I guess. Remember these words: keep hidden in the darkness," she said and I took note of it in my head. "So step one is find the exit, right?" I asked. "Yes, then we run as fast as we can?" She asked. "Doesn't seem like the best plan but what else have we got? We will leave tomorrow and search. Goodnight," I told her and we went to sleep. Although, around the middle of night, I felt someone with dry skin, touch my face and whisper: "Your plan is extremely dumb, try harder."
