You promised me your time
You promised me something greater.
But once it came to you keeping your promises
I lost you.
Your time, you gave it to someone else.
You missing me became more of me just missing you.
Greater things you promised became nothing.
I thought I had you, seems as if the world had you
I'm starting to wonder if you ever missed me or ever cared
Or If the things you said were true.
So many times I asked if I could see you
But you always had excuses
If you really wanted me, you would've made the time
All those excuses became worthless,
I slowly gave up on hope that one day you'd show up.
I guess they were right.
Maybe all those things they said about you were right.
You never put in effort, I always had to be the one putting in all the effort
Maybe it was just me that felt something
Maybe it's was a one way relationship.
Maybe you never cared.
I told myself it was over
But I couldn't bring myself to believe it.
Cause I care for you, as I always will.
