chapter 8 - a new world unfolds

Sorry about not updating when I promised to. It happens when college lies to you. Pffffft.... Idiots.....

I have started to notice something that's not very good... Less and less people are reading my story.....

It makes me sad. Please recommend this story to your friends and followers and those you are following, it would mean so much to me if many people read this.

RECAP:  A hollow is attacking Alex and Orihime, can Orihime protect them while Ichigo is no where near the attack site......

I looked up as the monsters claw came closer and closer.

Before it reached us one claw split into two. One was headed towards me and the other towards Orihime. Orihime looked at the claw as it was coming towards her, frozen with no emotion on her face. Making a split second decision I jumped in front of her holding out my arms protecting her, and closing my eyes bracing for impact.

"Soten Kisun.'' I heard being whispered from behind me. The claw never hit me, I opened my eyes and saw a yellow shield type thing in front of me, stopping the attack.

''Alex, get behind me. '' Orihime said, I turned around and looked at her, her expression never changed. But her eyes.... Her eyes looked strong, they held power and determination.

The monster pulled back it's claw and struck again before I could move a muscle. This time the shield thingy didn't come back in time.

I kept my arms spread, protecting Orihime with my life.

Before the monster could reach us I felt this surge of power flowing through my veins and let me tell you it felt better than adrenaline pumping through my veins.

Its claws was about to touch us at that exact moment, but as it came closer its claw started to fade into nothing. I looked up at its face and saw that its white mask started to slowly crack. I felt the power escape my body like a sudden rush of air. After that everything was a blur again. I had no strength left in my legs and I dropped to the ground like a limp strand of overcooked spaghetti. As everything started to go black around me I saw a yellow light surround me and a different yellow light shooting at the monster like a shooting star. After that I saw the monster disappear into thin air. Then everything went pitch night black, again.

I'm pretty sure it's not healthy to black out so much in one day.

Ichigo

I have got to get back to Orihime as fast as possible.

I was talking to Urahara about Alex when suddenly I felt Orihime's spiritual pressures followed by a massive spiritual pressure. I stopped what I was doing and now I am making my way over there as fast as possible. I have never been so worried about anything before. When I got there I felt a hollows spiritual pressure disappearing.  The hollow was strong.

I burst through the door and saw the hollow fading away the soul making its way to the soul society.

Orihime turned around and looked at me with her big beautiful eyes and I breathed a sigh of relieve, she isn't hurt.  Then she smiled at me, I swear my knees went weak for a few seconds.

Only then I saw Alex out cold on the floor.

''What happened here?'' I asked her as took a shaky step forward, funny I was still a bit weak at the knees.

She sat down on the couch and I went to go sit next to her.

She started telling me what happened and I couldn't believe any of it if it was coming from someone else.

After hearing what happened I stood up, Orihime looked up at me startled.

'' We should take her to Urahara, maybe he knows what's going on. ''

She nodded as she stood up, I walked over to Alex and scooped her tiny, unconscious body.

''Ichigo. "

I looked over my shoulder at her, she had that worried expression on her face again.

"I don't think she's a bad person, I mean just looked at what she did, she almost gave her life for mine without thinking twice.'' Her eye's was almost pleading, I believed her with everything I had in me, I always did.

"I know, is her mom alright.'' I reassured her.

She nodded. I nodded back

We made our way to Urahara walking side by side, strangley I felt happy and nervous at the same time, I liked walking next to her, even though this wasn't the time to be thinking about that.

Something is going on here and its putting everyone I care about in danger. I will find out what it is and put an end to it......
