Chapter 14 - And so it starts.

It was time.....

Urahara texted me the message: '' Come to my shop tomorrow at noon and we'll begin the process. ''

It was half past eleven, on friday when I decided to start walking over to Urahara's shop, although it didnt take that long, I just couldnt wait around much longer, my nerves was shot.

I skipped school for the day and told my mom I was going to sleep over at Orihimes house for the weekend, she was on board for keeping my cover, I couldntexactly tell her what I was about to do.

I looked around the house not knowing if this was the last time everything would be this simple, I walked out of the house and locked the door,when Iturned around I saw Ichigo headed towards me and we started walking towards Urahara's place.

" What are you doing here?''

''Urahahra asked me to be there, in case he needs help with something.''

'' In case I turn into a hollow?''

" That and he thought you might need some emotional support, after all it's not a nice process to go through alone.''

'' Is Orihime going to be there?''

" No, if you need healing Tessai can do it, using Kido to heal is not as fast as Orihime's sun-sun rica, but it can get the job done just as well.''

'' Oh.... Hey Ichigo? Can I ask you something?''

He looked down at me and gave a small nod.

'' Will it hurt?"

'' Yes and no. but when it does hurt, it hurts so much you can't even move a musscle.''

Silence fell over us for a few minutes.

'' How are you feeling about all of this, are you even ready?''

'' Yes........ no.............. I dont know.'' I said stopping in my tracks and sitting down on the curb with my head in between my hands, drawing a shakey breath I lifted my head and ran my hand through my hair and looking up at Ichigo. '' I thought I was ready, but I'm actually so scared, scared that it doesnt work, scared that the process fails and you have to kill me and most af all I'm scared that this does work and I won't be able to do anything about what I am, that I'll be a danger to everyone around me, that I cant control this powers that the hell butterfly claims I have and hurt the people I care about in return.''

'' You have nothing to be afraid about,'' he pulled me up and completely swallowed me in a hug. '' I don't know you that well yet, but what I do know for sure is that you're a very strong preson. Not everybody would have the courage to face up to their fears and definetily not everybody has the courage to risk everything by going through this transition. Besides look what you did for Orihime, you don't know her that well either but you put your own life on the line to save hers.''

I hugged him back and let go.

'' Thank you.''

'' No problem." he said letting go as well.

Thanks to Icigo I knew for a fact I was ready for this. I needed to do this, no matter what happens it's for the best.

We turned and walked the rest of the way to Uraharas shopin complete silence.

''Well, well, well. Alex I see both you and Ichigo recieved my message. Alex, are you ready to start?''

I nooded, not being able to find my words.

'' Well then follow me.''

We made our way down a hatch and some stairs to a training ground of some sorts that seemed never ending. It was barren like a dessert and somehow the sun shone brightly even though we were under ground.

''Wow, who knew that there was this training ground under the store the whole time...'' Urahara said with fake enthusiasm.

In a blink of an eye the smile fell from his face and he was clutching his bleeding nose.

By the looks of it Ichigo punched him. In the midst of all the commotion he changed into his soul reaper form, it all happened so fast I didn't even notice it.

" Cut it out already, how many times do you want to use that line, it's getting really old."

'' Alright, alright. No need to get violent. Now Alex before we get started with the process, do you have any questions?''

'' Actually I have a lot of them.''

'' Ask away, I'll do my best to explain to you.''

''I want to know everything.''

''Everything, well then let's get started with the simple stuff. Firstly a soul reaper is literally what the name says, a soul reaper has two main jobs firstly to guide a soul to the soul society by means of a konso by using the hilt of their sword and secondly to cleanse a hollow spirit to allow the spirit to enter the soul society by using your Zanpakto. Understand?''

'' Yeah, but why can't everyone see them?''

'' There are certain people like you, Orihime, Chad and Ichigo who have higher levels of spiritual pressure that allows them to see soul reapers in there soul form, but not all of those people develop powers, but there are people like Orihime and Chad who have powers called fullbring...''

'' Wait a minute, Chad has powers?''

'' Yes, he is a full bring like Orihime, but his powers differ from hers. As I was saying a Fullbring is the ability to manipulate the soul of the object to bring out its full potential, Orihime's powers comes from her hair pins and chads from his arm and strength. It usualy comes from a persons prised possesions.Understand?''

I nodded and waited for him to say something else,but he stood up and stared at the ground. He stood there for what seemed like forever until he picked up his cane and in a blink of an eye he was holding the tip pointed at my forehead. There was a picture of a skull consumed by blue flames at the botttom. He touched the tip of his cane to my forehead and when I blinked I saw my self unconsious in front of me and a link chain attatched to my body's chest and running towards me and attatched to my chest.

I touched the cain on my chest and gave it a yank. It was stuck. I looked up at Urahara and he smiled at me mischieviously.

''Its time for your first test. Are you ready?''

So. i have had an idea for a new book, but I'm not sure whether to publish it or not. so if you guyz want to read a short chapter and tell me what you think I'll post it here.
