Joseph pov

The rain outside turned my stomach. We never got rain where I'm from. We barely even got wind.

A baby's cry grabbed my attention. The ear piercing noise caused me too cringe into the bus seat.

"Shh its okay." The young mother cooed.

"Mom, i wanna ice cream!" A blonde hair boy pulled on the women's pink blouse.

"Stop Andy. Now sit down." The women snapped causing the boy to flinch.

Rolling my eyes I got up and walked towards the front to grab a schedule for the buses.

"Mommy! That boy has green hair!" He paused then shouted, "I want green hair!" His voice was horrible and irritating as hell.

The women eyes grew wide in shock. She grabbed the boys arm and pulled him into the blue seat next to her. "Now be quiet. Don't you ever dye your beautiful hair." She ran her small hand through his hair.

I picked the schedule for route 52. I began my walk towards my seat. I dragged my feet as I walked by the women. I could feel her staring at me. A smirk grew on my face.

Not to brag but I'm pretty good looking. I cut my hair so it wasn't so long. It was now just a buzz cut. My hazel eyes were darker now that my fathers side has become more pronounced. I was built like a football player but not once have I ever worked out.

"Next stop Stanley Ave." The bus driver called over his shoulder. My stop.

I pulled on the yellow wire that ran vertically across the top of the window where it disappeared into the wall.

The bus came to a hault.

As I went to get off i bumped into the young mother. I grabbed her and pulled her close to me to prevent her from falling. "Sorry, i didn't mean to." She lowered her eyes.

"Its okay." She nodded her head as I let her go.

I watched her behind as she walked off the bus with the baby and boy.

"Easy grabs." I muttered under my breath. "Hey wait. What's your name?" I ran after her laying my hand on her shoulder. She turned a shocked expression on her face. A smile played on my lips.

"A...Angelic." she stuttered. She played with her hands.

"Hello Angelic. I'm Joseph." I was waiting for her replay when the boy interrupted. "Can we keep him?" I laughed along with Angelic.

"Yea, can we keep him?" I smiled a smile of confidence.

She chuckled and nodded. She turned and started walking away. Her blonde hair swayed with every step.

"Easy grabs." I sighed.

"Repeat?" I didn't realize she was listening.

"I said I'm hungry." I gave my best fake smile.

"Oh." She shrugged and continued walking.

Her apartment was small with about 2 rooms. When you walk into the house you see a small kitchen with a small table. To the right is a bedroom and to the left is the living room with another room next to it.

"Make yourself at home." Angelic whispered.

"Thank you." I did and walk towards the living room.

As I stepped into the room, I caught a scent that made me take a step back.

My eyes darted around the room. They landed on a tiny figure in the middle of the room.

It was a girl about 13 years old. She had waist length brown hair and silver eyes. Her skin was tan,almost orange.

"You don't belong here." She growled. Her voice was like velvet.

I smirked at her. "I was invited. So I kinda do belong here." I plopped down on the leather couch putting my feet on the coffee table.

"Do not reptile!" She kicked my feet off the table and glared down at me.

"I am not a reptile, dog." I stood and laughed as she slowly looked up at me. "Now go sit, bitch." I ordered her like the dog she was.

"Never!" She lept at me knocking me to the floor. Her eyes were black and her nails were claws.

She scratched at my face. Damn, this girl was strong. My arms shook as I pushed on her chest.

With a huff I flung her body off of me causing her to crash into a lamp. The lamp hit a window instantly smashing it.

The girl jumped up and kicked her leg at me. I moved away to late. Her bare foot collided with my stomach.

My body slammed against the wall. I felt hands around my neck. Squeezing the breath out of me.

With all my power I forced the girl to the floor where I sat on her chest. She still had her hands on my neck.

I could feel her weakening. Then her legs rapped around my torso and flung me off of her.

With a thud, my head banged off the wall leaving a giant hole.

She lunged at me again only to grab onto my arm. She somehow got me to the floor.

Her left leg was around my neck, i was on top of her on my back. She had both of my hands behind my back.

I went to bite her leg and she went to bite my neck when Angelic walked in. She was facing the door. Me and the girl didn't move.

"Star, I'm going to the store! I'll be back!" And with that she walked out the door.

When she left I sunk my teeth into the girls leg. She shrieked in pain and fear.

She unrapped herself and got up. I followed.

"Lets agree to disagree." She stuck her hand out.

I slowly shook her hand. She smiled than punched me in the face. I fell to the floor. My eyes drifted close. My head hurt and my eyes stung.

I heard a door open. Than I heard Angelic's voice.

"Is he out?" She sounded concerned.

"Yes master. He will not get up. He's stunned. He won't know what happen." The girl sounded proud.

"Good. Make sure you bring him to her exact location. Not a few miles away, not a couple blocks away. Her exact location." Angelic spoke.

"Yes ma'am."

"We want him.." a loud crash made her stop. There was screaming and crying. I could hear the baby crying and screeching.

"Silence the kid!" A deep voice made me shiver in fear.

The baby continued to cry until a bang silenced the child.

Oh god. If they're willing to do that to a kid, what will they do to me? I thought to myself.
