Later I went up to see if Ivy was okay. She was sitting on her bed staring off into space.

"Ivy? You okay?" I asked her. She looked at me and sighed.

"How could he kill Laura. He's our dad and he's a murderer. She was our family" She whimpered.

"I know Ivy, it sucks but we gotta let it go okay, I miss Laura too but she's gone and we can't do anything about it. We can stay here with Derek and start a new life and it's gonna be great I promise." I told her reassuringly. She smiled at me sadly and nodded her head.

"Now come, dry your eyes and we can go down and watch some tv" I told her. She wiped her eyes with her sleeves and climbed off of the bed.

A couple of weeks passed and me and Ivy were fed up with sitting around the loft doing nothing.

"Hey Jen did you know there a 186 tiles in the bathroom?" Ivy sighed. I looked at her like she was crazy.

"How do you even know that?" I quizzed.

"I got really bored the other day and decided to count them" She told me. I groaned loudly.

"We need to do something, I feel like we've been sitting here for like a year" I yelled.

"Maybe we should go back to school" Ivy suggested.

"What why would we do that?" I asked her.

"Because I want to Jen, I miss being around people who aren't pack" Ivy explained. I contemplated what she said for a moment. She had a point we were literally doing nothing, it would've been no harm to go back.

"Okay yeah let's go back, We should probably ask Derek first though" I said. Ivy nodded and we went to talk to Derek.

Derek was in his room reading a book.

"Derek?" Ivy said with a huge smiled. He put the book down and looked at us.

"Yes?" He sighed.

"We were wondering if maybe we could start going to school?" I quizzed.

"I don't see why not" He shrugged.

"Wait really? You're not kidding?" Ivy beamed. Derek nodded and smiled. It was sort of funny how Ivy could go from crying to jumping for joy in a matter of minutes.

"Oh good but we're gonna need to go and get some supplies first" I smirked at him. Derek rolled his eyes and took his car keys off the dresser next to his bed.

"Let's go" he said.

"Where are we going?" Isaac stuck his head in the door. I rolled my eyes and scoffed. The last thing I wanted was him tagging along.

"You can help actually come on" Derek told him.

We pulled up at the parking lot of a local department store and got a shopping cart.

"So what do school kids need?" Derek asked Isaac as he pushed the cart down the stationary isle.

"Um pencils and stuff I guess" He shrugged.

"Thanks you really are a great help" Derek sighed. I picked up a pack of pens, two pencil cases and two erasers.

"I think that's it" I said throwing them into the cart.

"Are you sure that doesn't look like a lot" he replied curiously.

"We probably need school bags oh oh and new clothes" Ivy told Derek. Derek sighed loudly.

"And I suppose I have to pay for all this?" He groaned.

"Well we're hardly gonna pay for it" I scoffed. Derek took a deep breath and walked on to the clothes section.
