Light glinted off of the metallic buildings, celebrating the rising of the new dawn with a warm colored light show. The town was waking up, birds chirping and steps groaning with the steps of groggy inhabitants. It was also a new day for the mayor and his wife, you.

"Good morning Serenity."

You chuckled sweetly, but quietly not to wake up the mayor. The adorable firefly blinked happily, resting on the tip of your nose. Her wings pushed the air below her, landing her on the face to the sleeping mayor. She teasingly flashed her light in his face, earning a swift glare and shoo from you. It was probably best to let him sleep; he had important mayoral duties to attend to. To your dismay, it was too late. The figure beside you stirred gently, earning a kiss on the forehead from you.

"Good morning Mayor, how did you sleep?"

He responded with a blush and a happy nod, signaling a satisfactory sleep and awakening. He then proceeded to attempt to return your kiss; however, because of his height, he required some assistance. He did kiss your cheek, which slightly confused you since you weren't even sure if he had a mouth, but stranger things have happened. The two of you prepared yourself for the upcoming day, and went to your porch to enjoy the last remaining peaceful hour of your morning. Your tiny gentleman offered you a can of Tab, which you gladly accepted. Your drink hissed as your broke the seal to obtain the sweet contents. You glanced over at your husband, watching as his small, white pupils gazed over his big colorful world, the world he had crafted with you. It was a paradise, where birds chirped, citizens greeted each other in the young morning sun, and the mayor and his accomplice look at their people and each other and smile in pride and joy.
