He Hates Me | iKON - B.I

{Chapter 9} Last Chance

(A/N: the gig has nothing to do with the chapter but look at how cute Bobby is I'm dying😍)

It was finally the day for the last showcase for YG to decide the last 3 trainees that will be in the group. I had it all done, the choreography, the attitude, the style, everything. I did not practice my butt off these months, put up with all this attitude from some people, and slept 5 hours a day for nothing. This is my last chance. 

We were all gathered at the same practice room as last time, waiting for YG to come, even more nervous than last time, as expected from the situation.

''Guys, let's do our best and let the best ones debut! Fighting everyone!'' NaYoon unnie said and put her hand out for all of us to put our hands on top of hers and do the classing ''Fighting'' thing.

Minutes passing by felt like hours...

Αs YG came into the room, followed by the members of WINNER and iKON like last time cold blood started rushing through my veins. Their stares were intimidating but not powerful enough to scare us. This time we were prepared and we had already process the fact that only 3 of us will make it. Now it was not one for all, but one for theirselves.

The performances started and everyone was doing their best, not one mistake was made. It was my turn.

 I took a big breath and started my choreography. Hanbin's word kept echoing through my head 'give up', 'give up', which made me glare at him accidentally at some part of my dancing routine.

I finished my performance successfully and so did the other trainees. We were all panting and looking at the members of iKON, WINNER and YG waiting for them to decide.

10 minutes passed with us just sitting there and watching them talking when YG got up and stared at us.

''You all did excellent in this performance which is why it took us so long to decide the rest three people that will be added in this group.'' He said in a tone which it almost sounded like he was actually upset for not being able to debut more people. I did not buy this tho...

''That being said we decided that the members which will debut together with NaYoon, JiMin and HyeYoon are...'' He stared at all of us, while we were just sitting there frozen and waiting for him to announce the names.

''JiA''

''MiHee''

There was one last name. I observed one last time their faces and I noticed Bobby looked at me with a sad expression on his face. I think I know what this means and it's not good for me. My hands were shaking but I hid them behind my back.

''...and JiHye. Congratulations girls!''

I was a bit too distracted in my thoughts, as always and I jumped at the sudden sound of my name.

He said my name? He said my name right?!!?What!

We all had a straight face on since he was still there and we could not express ourselves freely but you could see crearly the difference in the expresions of the members that were chosen in the group and to the members that were not. Anger and sadness vs relief and hapiness.

''Congratulations JiA, MiHee and JiHye, do your best from now on!Work hard in order to become succesful in the future, I will keep an eye on you girls'' YG told us while greeting us and the other girls and then leaving the room.

iKON and WINNER members were still there but that didn't stop all of us from bursting into tears others from hapinnes and others from sadness.

''Hey, are you ok?'' Jinwoo sunbaenim came up to SeolHee, another trainee who had sat on the floor trying to process the fact that tomorrow she will either leave YG or continue training for God knows how long.

''Yeah, thank you sunbaenim, I'm fine'' she murmed in a quiet voice and gave him a faint smile. She was obviously not and I could hear it in her voice. And also her eyes, she was trying hard not to cry.

''Come on, let's go get some fresh air.'' He told her and reached his hand out to help her get up and followed her outside.

Did I miss something here? Ughh...nevermind!

The rest of the members of WINNER left a few seconds after Jinwoo so we were alone with iKON sunbaenims now. 

The girls being closer with the iKON members since they had taught us a choreo and advised us about idols life before, they finally let themselves compretely free and started to express their feelings, others by crying and others by sitting alone and not wanting to talk to anyone.

A few minutes after the awkward silence, the five girls that weren't selected to be on the group left, after greeting us following YG's orders.

''Guys, I have something to say'' Hanbin announced when finally there was only us six and them in the room.

''Yes B.I sunbaenim, what is it?'' MiHee asked. Weird...I've never heard her call him with his stage name before...In fact I've never heard anyone call him with his stage name before, just with his real name, 'Hanbin'.

He chuckled when he heard MiHee call him that. I've never seen him laugh like that before either! What the hell is going on here?

''I just wanted to say...congratulations on your debut! You are all really talented girls and you deserve to debutafter all that stuggle you've been through. But I'll keep an eye on you as well be careful'' He exclaimed smiling and looking at all of us...well not all of us...all of them, except me.He only looked at me when he was saying his last sentance which led to me make my hands into fists to try and relax myself from all the nervousness.

 Now that was something I had finally seen before!

 I nodded my head in undestanding and mumbled a small ''thank you'' like the other girls, the only diference was that their voices were audible.

''Also we're always here if you want some advice, or to talk to us so don't be afraid to ask alright?'' Jinhwan added looking at all of us with a big smile on his face.

I know Jinhwan, I know.

''Yes sunbaenims thank you so much'' NaYoon said and we all bowed to them before they made their way out of the room as well.

Now we were completely alone in the practice room, it feels weird being with only six peope and not 11 like I was used to.
