I don't own Naruto, nor the picture.

In a nice house within one of the many neighborhoods in the city of Konoha lived a family of three, who were very well known among the neighbors to be a lively and kind trio. The wife and son made up most of the friendly part, so, unsurprisingly, they were quite loud.

And for that very reason the neighbors kept their windows shut so that they wouldn't hear the racket they made in the morning.

"Mama! Papa! Time to wake up, wake up, wake up!"

A blonde, whiskered man groaned lowly from the depths of dark sheets on the bed and rolled over the silent raven, successfully covering both of them with their blanket once he had landed on his chest.

"Baby, it's too early," he whined. "Give us ten more minutes."

"But Mama, I don't want to be late for my first day of school!" the boy whined in return, lifting up the bottom of the blanket and crawling over to the warm bodies.

He squealed happily when his father shot out an arm out and brought him to his chest as his mother rolled over behind him, successfully completing his favorite family thing ever!

The family sandwich!

They both pressed closer together and fell limp again, leaving their son to pout.

"Mama! Papa!" he protested again, wriggling around in attempt to arouse them from their sleep. "I don't want to be late for my first day again! Don't you remember what happened last year?"

He felt his father wince in front of him. "I said I was sorry."

Sasuke had accidentally bumped into Menma on their hurried way out of the house, thus causing him to fall on the patio. Concrete patio. His son had to go to school without a tooth and with a pretty nasty scab on his knee.

"That's why I want to be there early!" Menma said, turning and nuzzling his head on his mama's chest; Naruto ran his hand through his child's hair with a smile.

"I guess we'll just have to suck it up, Teme," he chuckled, scooping Menma up and rolling off of bed.

Menma giggled madly when he felt himself squish up against tan skin. "I want tomatoes for breakfast!"

"How many does my baby want?" Naruto asked, rubbing their foreheads together as he made their way downstairs. "Does he want two? Three, maybe?"

"Two!" the small raven said, holding two fingers up. "Can I have another one for lunch?"

"As long as you eat all of your rice this time," Naruto said, carrying him into the kitchen and plopping him down on the counter as he took out the bag of red fruit.

Menma happily took the tomato in his hands and chomped down on it, making sure not to spill too much juice on his favorite pajamas. He watched his mama chop up sausages and take out a container of sticky rice from the fridge.

"Is Papa going to get Kishi to watch me this year too?" he asked, taking another bite.

His mama snorted and turned the stove on before placing a pan on top of it.

"I'll make sure he doesn't do anything rash," he said, pouring some oil and tossing the sausages in. "And if he still has a problem, then I'll go consult Kishi's parents. I'm pretty sure that Kiba and Hinata wouldn't like knowing that Sasuke's using their daughter as a body guard, anyways..." To Menma's delight, the sausages were cut up in the form of octopuses!
