"Maize Everdeen late for my class again!" Mr. 'I hate everyone but you the most' tells me, now I don't get this. If the bell ran 15minutes ago to tell us lesson starts, and I hear that bell.. and I recall hearing it 15minutes ago doesn't that mean I FREAKING KNOW IM LATE?!
"Sorry sir" I sheepishly reply and yes, my sassy, sarcastic side stays in my head and does not ever under any circumstance come out of my mouth. Because wouldn't that just be so fun to piss off the teacher who seems out to get me! hahaaaa I wish. I so do wish.
"Whatever, go sit down." Looking around the classroom I notice 3 things. 1: My normal seat has been taken. Yah know I could get that kid arrested for thieving. it was my seat, he stole it. God damn it.
2: Luke is here. And I'm staring at him like I see the devil, which basically I do.
3: The only empty seat left is the one directly next to Luke. Now, don't worry I have a plan A, and B. Plan A: Bribe the kid with cookies and cream ice-cream to get his ass outta my seat. Or Plan B: Run out that classroom claiming imma be sick. But since I'm a brainy person I realize none of them would work so I slowly go and sit next to Luke.
"Hey, your Maxie aren't you?" I hear from next to me making me look at the culprit. I mean, I shoulda known he was the culprit because he is the only person here.
"It's maize, Lola."
"Lola?" He dumbly answers.
"Oh, I'm sorry you're not called Lola?" Raising an eyebrow in surprise I put on a baffled face.
"No, it's Luke. Princess" I nod my head not really listening and turn to face the front of the class.
20 annoying ass minutes later**
"I swear to the freaking unicorn race I will bite you're hand off if you click that damned pen again" I grit out, now for the past 20 fudging minutes all Luke has been doing is clicking that pen of his and just saying, that is at the top of my list of Pet Peeves.
"Why, does it annoy you Princess?" Humor is heard in Luke's apparent curious voice. Fudging Unicorn Poop.
"Now Luke, how about we both figure out this together huh, if I ask you to stop clicking the pen with obvious heard anger. And I threaten to bite your hand off, which I now am starting to think about cutting you're dick off with my earring and hot glue gunning it to you're head, Now PLEASE for everything you're dick is apparently worth I suggest you seriously stop. Before I go through with my legitimate threat." I smile politely while looking at a shocked Luke.
"Now, if you would excuse me Sir just said something about the male autonomy and I just LOVE to learn about worthless shit." Turning back to the board I zone out.
Just think, years ago me and Luke first met on good neutral grounds and we where friends for I think 3years.
**Flashback**
"Mommy watch me!" A little me squeals out. For some reason I was one of them kids who wanted there parents to see everything I did.
Running around the playground I notice a little boy sat on his own on the swings, so me been the nice kid I am I went up behind him and pushed him off.
Walking around the swing I loom over him and grin. "Hi! I'm Maize, who are you?"
"Luke." He smiles, while on the floor. I would be crying, but I guess he doesn't feel the pain.
"Well Luke, wanna play tag?" I question while I twirl my blonde locks around my finger.
"Sure!" Clapping my hands together I run away from Luke while screaming 'You're it!!"
**End of Flashback**
From that day on me and Luke where literally inseparable. Until we both got into Secondary school and made new friends and new enemies. My new friends would be: Cleo Manchester, Lizzie McCarthy, Jake Aldan, Max Brethren and my number one lesb friend, Sienna Robson.
Lukes friends are basically everyone in the school apart from me and my friends. And guess who's enemy is who's? You guessed right, Luke is my enemy just as I am his. Sometimes I do miss him though..
Walking into the auditorium after that horrendous lesson seemed to me like Heaven. Until I saw it. Or more specifically HIM! following me! WHY GOD WHY! Rushing over to my table I clamber onto Jakes lap and lay down on everyones lap.
"What the hell Maizie get you're ass up!" Sienna kicks my head up.
"AHH!"
"Omg Maize are you Okay? I swear I didn't mean to!" Sienna cries
Yes. Sienna, my best friend. Has just pushed me off everyone's laps and kicked my head again. I may have brain damage now.
"Imma just stay down here." I say while my head is throbbing. Wow that girl should take up football or something. Nice kick. Would have been better if I wasn't the ball.
Suddenly I get a thought and I jump up from under the table and stand on the table.
"EVERYONE LISTEN UP!" Sniggering in anticipation "I SWEAR TO GOD I AM A FLYING MUTANT MEERKAT!" I scream and jump up and down on the table.
"Maize, that was so unimportant and also what the hell?" Jake questions while I sit my bottom back onto someone's unsuspecting lap. Of course it was Max's lap.
"In my mind it was important but saying it out loud didn't sound so much important, either-way it was important so shut up." I sheepishly reply
Looking at Jake I huggle him close. "Jakey Wakeyyyyyyy" I pout " Can I pwease have a fwy? I rweally want a fwy jakey but I hash no moneh" I sound drunk but I swear i'm not.
Looking at me in amusement Jake passes the rest of his fries to me and I devour them in 2seconds flat. WOOO new record!.
Looking at my phone I scroll through Facebook, hmm nothing new apart from that cheesecake looks delicious. Then I check snapchat and decide to be a rebel and I take a bunch of selfies with a bunch of filters. Haha I look cute as a dog!
Checking all my messages I see one from my nan and start getting nervous. Now, me and my nan don't have the best relationship, but whenever she messages me its serious (As always) and what's more concerning is she messaged me while I was in class. Opening up her message I read it quietly out-loud.
"Maize, when you get out of school don't go home, go straight to mine. You're house has been broken into, I think they may have found out that you're Love Rock. Please don't go to you're house. They stole a lot of items. They took peaches hun, please reply ASAP." My eyes fill with tears. Peaches was my dog, she was my moms before she left us but now she's mine and God know's what them awful people are doing to my baby.
putting my phone away I smile at everyone and excuse myself, walking out of the hall I bump into someone and fall forward, arms envelope my waist and I'm hoisted up. Blushing slightly I turn around my eyes widening in fear as I see..........

HAHAHA omg that's the worst cliffhanger ever done by man but I'm still getting used to this story writing stuff. haha og its actually cringey.
NOW I have decided to set myself targets of votes and comments, if I reach that target ill update, and if I don't ill still update haha but basically its personal targets for myself to see in the future if I passed them or nah. In every chapter apart from chapter 1 I will set little ones and if I reach that target I will set the target higher for myself. If I don't I just keep it on that number.
