I open my eyes and look up at the tall tree's of the forest. It was dark and cold, but silent. I look over to my left as I close my hands and fill them with the wet soil beside me. I watch as a fox comes closer to my body, cautious and careful. I look back up to the dark misty sky, until I hear a twig snap. I don't move off the ground, I don't try and run, I stay still...silent.

I could hear the footsteps getting closer, my heart races when I feel hands pick me off the ground and start to carry me away, I don't look up at the persons face, I watch as the tree's go by until there was no more trees to watch, inside a roof top of a car.

I finally turn to look at where I was and who was there. I'm in an ambulance truck, the people are checking to see if I'm alright, talking to me, but all I hear is…...silence.

I look up and close my eyes, my breathing steadied, my body relaxed.

That's when I knew I was okay,

I was free.

I wake up with a start as my alarm clock blares. I quickly turn it off and put my hand on my heart to steady it somehow. I look at my bed, my white blankets were every where. I make my way to the shower.

I stand there as the warm water goes down my body. Suddenly that warm water feels cold and uncomfortable. I quickly turn it off and grab a towel.

I look in the mirror attached to my dresser. I take a deep breath and drop the towel staring at my body and what it's become.

I felt a tear go down my face or was it just water?

My throat felt heavy and I turn away from myself and got changed. I make my way downstairs into the kitchen for something to eat. Once I got there though I lost my appetite.

My foster parents weren't here, which was strange, but it doesnt matter. I grab a water bottle and something to snack on later on if I get hungry. I walk out of my house making sure I lock the door. I stop noticing the mailbox, I reach my hand inside and grabbed the letters. I search through them noticing that they're all bills except one.

I stare at it not moving. It has my name on it with the type of writing that I got so familiar with. But I never get mail, unless… no it can't be it, anything but that.

I put the bills back inside, but bring my letter with me into the car.

My phone rings and I drop the letter onto the passenger seat, I look at the number, it was Colby. I answer. “Hello.” My voice was a bit shaky, but I clear it away. Hopefully he didn't notice. “Hey there Bribri, I was wondering if you could pick us up, you know in your car.” I smile, he really loves this car.

I could hear mumbling on the other line, but I know it wasn't Colbys voice. “Don't worry she's coming.” He say's back to the person. I raise a brow even though he couldn't see. “Who’s there with you?” I ask. “Umm everyone.” He says a bit shyly.

I laugh and start the car. “I’m on my way.” I say to him and hang up.

When I got to Colby's, I decided to go and knock on the door, besides waiting in the car. I knock three times and a tall handsome face shows up. The man smile's at me as he checks me up and down.

“Hello there, you must be Bribri, my name's Calvin.” He says and puts his hand out. I shake his hand and he leads me to where they were, I couldn't help, but feel Calvin's hand on the small of my back. I force myself not to blush.
