Joe had hired a van from someone he was friends with back in our old village. It was silver, quite old and was carrying the majority of my family's belongings. I was about to ask 'Are we there yet' for what seemed like the 40th time since we set off, when I noticed the blue and white 'Hollyoaks Village' sign Mum had told us to look out for when entering the new estate.
"Look, there's the sign, we're actually here," I excitedly pointed out, removing my seat belt and looking out the window and pointing so far across the van I almost poked Lindsey, who was sitting beside me, in the eye.
"Careful Emily," Lindsey laughed,  pushing my arm away from me.
"Just remember what I said, we're all keeping our heads down here and I'll be making sure Robbie and Fred know that as well," Joe lectured, for the millionth time.

Joe was the oldest of my five brothers, he was probably the most intelligent, accept Jason, because he always seem to have a solution to everything. He was tall, with dark hair and lots of stubble and most definitely the sensible one of our family. I admired him, and I knew like all of my brothers, he would move the earth for me and my Mum.

"It's not us four you need to be lecturing, Joe," Jason sighed, peaking his head through the gap between the chairs so he could be easily heard.
"I'll second that," I smirked, watching the street sign 'Christleton Terrace' come into view from the van.
"Yeah, it is you lot I need to be lecturing. I know how Robbie and Freddie can influence you, especially you Emily, so just come to me if you need help - not them two. Is that understood?" Joe growled, as he parallel parked outside our new house.

It was huge, well it would have to be to fit my family in. The outside of the house was covered in ivy, which ran up the wall and around the front gate. It blocked off parts of the house which were painted in an off white colour. It was a three floored terrace house, but was a lot different to any kind of terrace house I'd seen before.

I reluctantly nodded my head, as I pushed open the van door and stepped outside. The journey hadn't been that long, as he regularly stopped so people could use the toilet and grab some food from the McDonalds at the service stations. The sun shone brightly in my eyes, it was a nice warm spring day and the sun was preventing me from taking in the first views of my new home. I opened the side van door so my two older brothers, Jason and Ziggy, could get out. Jason came and stood beside me as we stared at our new front door.
"I mean it you two," Joe whispered, appearing out of nowhere and standing in the middle of me and Jason. His large hands were planted on both of our shoulders and I felt his eyes looking from left to right at each of us.
"I know," I muttered, watching the front door creak open slowly. None of us had ever met Mum's new boyfriend, well Robbie and Freddie had as they moved up with her two months ago, but none of us arriving today had a clue who this new man we were living with was.
"My babies!" Mum exclaimed, opening the door widely and standing in the entrance with open arms. She was wearing a blue and white hospital uniform, which had a little watch and a name tag on.
"Hi Mum," I laughed, being the first to run down the path way into her arms. She smelt like rose fabric conditioner. As I wrapped my arms around Mum, she lightly kissed my forehead and hugged me back.
"God I've missed you all. How was your journey? Did you manage to pack everything up safely?" Mum began asking, rambling on one question after another before anyone even got chance to answer. I let go of Mum's hug as she grabbed Jason and Ziggy at the same time, I carried on walking into the house. It was huge! Even bigger than it looked on the outside. I ran my fingers along the wooden coffee table beside the front door, there was a mirror with a wooden frame over it which I looked at the art work on the opposite wall through. The stair case was right beside the front door, but I carried on walking down the corridor into what opened out to be the living room. The room had yellow wall paper, which had traces of silver leaves and brown branches all over it. Strangely enough, it was nice. The two brown settee's were set around a coffee table and a television. With a fire place in the centre of the wall. It was empty accept for once photo frame on the top. I took my black leather over the shoulder off and bumped it carefully on the settee before picking up the photo in question. It was my Mum, there was no doubt about that, and a taller older man. He was quite pale, with dark brown/black hair and dark eyes to match. Mum was smiling away, but this gentleman was merely smirking. I put the photo back down and walked over to the living room window. The blinds were ones that you had to pull to shut. I wiggled my finger in and pulled it open to see Mum linking arms with Lindsay, while walking up towards the house, Joe and Ziggy were opening the van up.
"This looks alright," Jason smiled from behind me.
"Yeah, it does," I whispered as I dropped the curtain and turned around.

To my surprise, there was the man in the photo frame hovering behind Jason at the door to the kitchen. I made eye contact with him, which must have meant Jason noticed I was looking right through him. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed Jason scowling at me, causing him to turn and look at the same man I was.
"Hi, I'm Jason," Jason laughed, reaching his hand out to shake this man's hand. The tall dark haired man slowly walked towards us both, with his hands in his pocket.
"Fraser," The dark haired man said, with blunt force in his voice. I saw Jason's had get almost crushed by the force Fraser was putting into his hand shake. "And you must be.." Fraser began before I quickly cut him off.
"Emily," I rapidly said, as he dropped Jason's now lifeless hand.
"I've heard a lot about you from Sandy," Fraser hissed in his low voice.

It was then Mum and Lindsey came through the living room door laughing about something. I reached over and picked my bag up from the settee and hooked it over my shoulder again.
"Fraser, this is Robbie's twin, Jason. My youngest, Emily and our Joe's girlfriend Lindsey," Mum introduced, pointing her hand around the room as she named each person.
"It's nice to meet you," Lindsey smiled, reaching her hand out for another extremely firm hand shake from Fraser.
"And these are my other two, my oldest Joe and Ziggy," Mum explained as Joe and Ziggy both carried a television for one of their bedrooms in.
"Alright mate," Joe and Ziggy both scowled in sync. Fraser lifted his head without any expression on his face to let Joe and Ziggy know he heard what they said.

There was a slight awkward silence for a few seconds before Mum decided to show us around upstairs. I headed up the stairs beside Jason while Lindsey and Mum rushed ahead.
"I think you are all really going to love what me and Fraser have done with the place," Mum laughed, approaching the bathroom at the top of the stairs. It was fairly small for a bathroom but there was only going to be one person in at a time so we didn't need anything much bigger. On the left of the bathroom was a smaller bedroom, it was painted grey and had a double bed, wardrobe and mirror in.
"This is Ziggy's room, do you think it will be okay when he puts all his stuff in?" Mum asked as everyone peeped around the door.
"Yeah, that's his favourite colour he will love it," Jason laughed, knowing that Ziggy probably wouldn't be best pleased at the size of his bedroom. Lindsey cut ahead and opened the next bedroom door. I didn't get a chance to look in before Lindsey started talking.
"Oh wow! The colours are amazing in here," Lindsey smiled, walking in and touching the soft white bedding, which had a turquoise blanket over the top. The curtains matched the blanket and the walls were painted an off white colour.
"This is yours and Joe's room," Mum smiled, pleased that Lindsey loved it.
"It's amazing, exactly how me and Joe wanted it. No wait, it's twice as good!" Lindsey grinned, swinging open one of her two wardrobes.

We turned a corner and the next bedroom was Mum and Fraser's, it was painted black with 10 different lights dangling from the ceiling, it was the only bedroom to have a wooden floor. Directly beside Mum's bedroom was mine, I opened the door and straight away saw the glittery feathered wall paper on the chimney breast and the rest of the walls were cream. My bedding was a light pink, as were the curtains. Everything else, the light shade, mirrors, wardrobe and dresser was white and looked so elegant. My room was only a tad bigger than Ziggy's room but I didn't mind, it was exactly what I needed.
"Oh my god this is perfect," I smiled, looking around before I gave Mum the biggest hug ever. In our old house I had to share a bedroom with Robbie and Jason, so this bedroom was he first one I'd ever had to my self.
"This is so beautiful," Lindsey commented, after she had finally finished snooping through her bedroom. It was just then when Jason quickly interrupted us, he was excited to see his and Robbie's room.
"Where's mine?" Jason sighed, acting like a child even though he was 18.
"Through there," Mum pointed , gently buffing the bedroom at the end of the corridor open. It was painted blue, with bunk beds, two wardrobes and a desk.
"That colours my favourite," Jason nodded, touching the blue paint on the wall.

Eventually, we got to Freddie's bedroom, there was no door but a small stair case which lead to  a medium sized attic room, which looked extremely comfortable.
"You did so well on this loft conversion," Lindsey laughed, as Mum had text photographs of what it previously looked like.
"I can't take any credit, it was mostly Fraser and Robbie," Mum laughed, feeling proud of her sons.

"Well, lets go and see what else we can find here," I smiled, pulling Jason back down the stairs.
