Meanwhile Tom back at home has been thinking about the gator. He has a few old boards and some plywood to make a couple of signs. On the 2 pieces of plywood he painted "Watch out for gators" and nailed them to tall boards. Then he put them up by the bayou edges in two different locations. Some of the young children couldn't read yet so he drew a gator on each one.
