Jacoby POV
I sat on the couch my head in my head in my hands. I can't believe Kelly was cheating on me. I thought about what Korey said, how I should leave Kelly. Maybe it's the right thing to do. Maybe I should leave, it's obvious we don't love each other anymore. What about the kids? What about our past, was everything I did for her just delaying the inevitable fact that we would fall out of love?
I fumbled with my phone, contemplating calling or texting Korey.
"Baby?" Kelly asked sitting next to me she rested her hand on my shoulder and I shrugged it off.
"Don't call me baby." I said bitterly.
"Jacoby, I know this is hard, but we don't love each other anymore." Kelly said.
"Was Gravity for nothing?" I asked. She sighed.
"No Coby, but we just aren't right for each other anymore." Kelly said softly.
"Kelly, I love you..." I trailed off.
"I love you too, but you have to see that we're not in love anymore, we have to move on, or neither of us will be happy..." Kelly said. "I'm not saying let's ditch each other's lives forever, but we should see other people." Kelly explained.
"I get you, what about the kids?" I asked.
"They'll understand." Kelly assured. I took a deep breath, and sighed.
"We'll get a divorce." I said.
"Now what about our living situation?" She asked.
"I'll stay in the guest room until I get my own place, which won't take long." I said.
"What about custody?" She asked playing with her hands.
"How about I get the kids off tour, you take them on, and they'll stay weekends with you." I suggested. She smiled and nodded in agreement.
I packed up my clothes and took them to the guest room, it was odd knowing I won't be sleeping in the same bed as Kelly. It was weird being content with no longer being together. My phone vibrated and it was Korey.
Korey: Left John... At a hotel.
Me: Korey and I are splitting too, I'm going to get an apartment.
Korey: I should start too.
Me: Why not become room mates?
Korey: Sure.
Me: Send me links to places you like.
Korey: Will do.
I went on my computer and began to search for apartments near by. I searched for 2 bedroom apartments for when I get the kids. I never thought I'd have to do this, but Kelly was right, we won't be happy again unless we part ways. I heard the kids come home... What was I going to tell them? I ran my hands through my hair and walked out into the living room.
"I'll start dinner, your father and I have something important to tell you two." Kelly said smiling at the kids. They nodded before running up to their rooms. I went into the kitchen and got a soda.
"What are we going to tell them?" I asked.
"That we just fell out of love, we'll still be friends of course, but we're just splitting on a happy note so it won't be one of those disasters." Kelly said
"I've been looking at apartments, Korey Cooper, you know her right? She's going to be my room mate." I said quietly.
"That's John's wife, why is she moving out?" Kelly asked, she was a bit confused.
"She's who I've been... You know... John hasn't been satisfying her and she is am Atheist now." I stated.
"Oh... Well... Good." She said. she didn't know what to say which is understandable. The kids ran into the kitchen and I sighed.
