Me: John, I want to share custody of the kids.
John: No way in hell! You cheated on me, there is no way I am letting my kids get tainted by a sinner.
Me: John, do you want to settle this in or out of court, I want to see our damn kids!
John: In court, then you'll never legally be able to see them again.
Me: see you in court.
I sighed and set my phone on the table.
"What's wrong babe?" Jacoby asked.

"John won't settle out of court, I'm terrified I'll lose the battle." I said looking at my phone. God damn it! Why won't John just let me get the kids for the weekends?

"You have a great lawyer representing you." Jacoby said trying to make me feel better.

"John has filled their heads with lies, they probably won't want to hear my side of the story." I stated.

"You're their mother, they'll love you no matter what." Jacoby said offering me a soft smile.

"Thanks." I said rubbing his thigh.

"Even if it doesn't go well, my kids still love you." Jacoby said patting my knee. I know he was trying to help but it didn't. He has great kids, but they weren't mine.

"Yeah." I said with a hollow chuckle.

"How about we go see a movie and try and push that thought from your mind." Jacoby offered.

"Yeah, that would be nice." I said as I got up. I stretched as far as my body would let me and my spine popped. Jacoby stretched too just so his spine would pop louder. I rolled my eyes at him.

"You ready, or are you going to get all dolled up?" Jacoby asked.

"I'm ready." I chuckled. I grabbed my purse and we went out. It was nice to take my mind off of John and the kids and to just spend time with Jacoby. After the movie Jacoby didn't take us straight home he took me to this little pond at a park. We were the only ones there, it was nice. We didn't have to worry about someone ruining the moment.

"I'm sorry life has gotten so hard for you." Jacoby stated.

"It's not your fault, I left a relationship I was unhappy with for one that I am happy with, for a man I am in love with." I said holding his hand. He smiled and let out a small chuckle.

"I know, I just feel guilty because Kelly and I are still really cool with each other and John is basically out to kill you." Jacoby murmured.

"It's tough, but if I get the kids, I don't ever have to talk to him again." I stated. Jacoby nodded.

"If you do get the kids we may need to get a bigger place." Jacoby stated.

"We can buy a nice little house." I offered. He chuckled and nodded.

"We WILL buy a nice little house but I wanted to ask you something." Jacoby said. He looked nervous, which was weird because Jacoby was usually really bold and out there. That made me nervous. Was he going to break up with me? Did he want an open relationship so he can continue to have sex with Kelly? Did he want me to give up on getting the kids from John?

"Sure, you can ask me anything." I stated. My heart was racing and I was so worried about what he was going to say.

"Do you want to start trying to start our own family?" Jacoby asked. I was a bit surprised, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. He just wanted to start trying to make a family with me. I wouldn't mind and I actually would like that, why was I so worried.

"Yeah." I said. I kissed him deeply and he kissed back. His hands rested on my waist and mine hands rested on his shoulders. When we pulled apart he had a big grin on his face.

"I can't wait to put a baby in you." He chuckled.

"Can it wait till I see if I can get the kids back." I stated. He nodded and kissed me deeply.

"Of course." Jacoby murmured. We held hands as we walked to the car. "So are we ever going to get married?" He asked. I was a bit startled by the question.

"I don't know, would you want to get married eventually?" I asked.

"Maybe one day, we haven't dated for long but I was just putting that out there." Jacoby replied. I nodded. I didn't know what else to say, it wasn't an awkward silence though, it was more of a mutual thinking moment.  When we got back to the apartment. He pushed me roughly against the wall. Our lips moved roughly against each other. There was a knock on the door and we pulled apart. Jacoby went to answer it. I heard what sounded like a boy crying.

"Jagger, what's wrong!" He shouted.
