I didn't want to tell they kids about the divorce. I know first hand how hard it is on a child.
"So your dad and I wanted to tell you that we're breaking up. We'll still be talking to each other, but Jacoby is getting an apartment, we're still friends, but we're just not in love, and if we stay together it will end badly." Kelly said.
"Will we ever see dad again?" Jagger asked. Kelly nodded.
"Of course, when he is off tour he has you for the week days and I get you guys for the weekends." Kelly smiled.
"I always thought you guys had to hate each other for a divorce" Makaile said. We shook our heads
"No, just not in love, but a lot of people tend to wait till they hate each other."  I said chuckling slightly. They nodded but still looked confused.
"What do you feel about all this?" Kelly asked. They shrugged.
"At least you guys don't hate each other." Makaile said.
"Are you guys upset?" I asked.
"No." Makaile and Jagger said together.
"Good." I smiled. Makaile smiled back and sat at the table. It was so weird to have everyone including the woman I'm divorcing be so cool with it. It was slightly confusing.

(1 month later)

I walked into the apartment, Korey was there, she was sitting on the floor on her laptop.

"What are you looking at?" I asked sitting next to her.

"Furniture, I have some that I like bookmarked, I didn't want to make a decision without you, seemed a little unfair." She chuckled. I nodded.

"Cool, let me see." I said. We decided on a couch, table set, TV and coffee table. "Hey I was curious how we were going to work the home studio thing." I said. She chuckled, but she looked really sad.

"I'm pretty sure I'm out of Skillet so you can set it up however you like." She said softly. I felt bad that she got kicked out of her band.

"You can always start your own band." I suggested.

"You really think I could?" She asked. I nodded.

"You can write a thing on Instagram looking for band members I am sure thousands of people would die to be in a band with Korey Cooper." I assured her. She smiled and chuckled.

"I might actually do that." She said. I grabbed one of my boxes labeled studio equipment and smiled.

"Now do you want to help set up the studio?" I asked.

"Sure!" She chuckled. We spent a few hours hanging up acoustic panels and our band merch from over the years. We still had a lot of work to set it up and make it perfect for us, but it was a good start. "I'm going to go grab some fast food, want anything specific or is anything fine?" Korey asked.

"Anythings fine." I smiled she left and I called the guys to let them know how moving in was going and how Korey and was. They were a bit shocked me and Korey were cheating on our spouses with each other. They were also shocked how cool Kelly was with me and Korey dating now and moving in together.

"Hey Coby, I'm back!" Korey shouted. I said goodbye and met her in the kitchen area. "Who were you talking to?" She asked.

"Just the guys letting them know how moving in is, how you are, and explaining to them why Kelly is so cool with you and I seeing each other now." I chuckled. She chuckled too.

"I wish John would be like that. Kelly has always been really cool and relaxed. It's part of her charm." Korey said smiling. I chuckled.

"Yeah, it was, it's still weird thinking that her and I are now just friends, her and I have been together since high school." I said.

"If you need adjustment time, that's okay, we don't need to jump into a relationship right away if you're not ready." Korey said.

"That's not what I meant, of course I am ready to be in a relationship with you, I was just saying how weird and free I feel." I said smiling at her. She smiled back.

"Well I'm glad you're ready to date me." She said hugging me and planting a peck on my lips. I kissed her passionately and pinned her between the counter and I. She smirked in to kiss and hopped up on the counter. Our lips moved in sync. Our tongues darted in and out of each others mouth. She rested her hands on my shoulders. I pulled and began to trail kisses down the side of her neck and she stopped me. "Coby, I'm on my period." She said a bit shyly. It was cute that she was shy about sharing that with me. I pulled away and nodded.

"So is that a no to hooking up?" I chuckled. She laughed and nodded.

"A strong no to hooking up." She said. I fake pouted and she pet my golden hair.

"I'll let you know as soon as I'm not though." She promised.
