Pearl was at home, in the kitchen. She was preoccupied with baking some pie. She didn't particularly like to eat often but she thought sharing a pie with someone she liked would be a caring gesture. When the image of the girl with blue hair popped into her mind she felt her own cheeks redden and she tried to shake her mind clear of all thoughts. She didn't want to risk ruining the pie. She couldn't let it burn. She nervously chewed at her lower lip while she finished baking the pie. She placed it on the counter to cool.

Pearl was wearing a sky blue t shirt, some Jean shorts and some tan sandles. She also was wearing a white apron with a pocket on it.

Pearl decided it would be a good idea to send Lapis a text or call her to ask her if she had plans. Pearl gulped and tried to keep herself calm and level headed. Her cheeks burned a light shade of maroon. She was so nervous to even call Lapis. Her heart raced. Maybe she should send a text instead? She worried that Lapis might have had plans, but usually Lapis had nothing better to do then just be at home and surf the web.

Pearl took a deep breath and regained her composure. She held her phone in her hand. She was nervously checking her saved images to keep herself calm and focused. She then pulled open her text messaging application. She let out a small sigh and began to type out a message on her phone. Her heart was beating fast with each letter she typed out. She felt so nervous, she was only asking for Lapis to come over to share a homemade meal, yet what should she be nervous about? Lapis might not want to eat pie right now, she might be full. She might not want sweets. What if she didn't like blueberries?

Pearl's thumb hovered over the send button. She nervously nibbled at her bottom lip as she was hesitant to send the message. She gulped and tapped send. What happens happens. She was so worried, yet at the same time she somehow knew it would be okay.

Pearl:
[Hey, I was wondering if you had plans today? If not would you maybe want to come over and hang out?]

Her heart was still racing a little. Just as her heartbeat was returning to normal she received a text. It read as followed,

Lapis:
[Nope! I don't have any plans today. Sure, I can stop by and chill today if you wanted. I can bike there in about ten minutes. Just let me know when it's alright for me to bike over.]

Pearl then nervously typed out a reply. Her heart was beating fast again. Lapis could come over. She was extatic. She hoped Lapis liked blueberries. Pearl had a small garden out in the back of her house and there so happened to be alot of blueberries compared to the rest of the fruits. Pearl's reply looked something like this.

Pearl:
[Great! I need to tidy up the place but maybe see you in about half an hour?]

She didn't want to seem desperate at all so she suggested a timeframe that is soon but not too soon and not too late. Plus it gave Lapis time to get changed or whatever she wanted in the time she had to get ready.

Lapis:
[Sure, I'll make sure to shower and get clean clothes on then I'll bike right on over.]

Pearl:
[Alright, see you in around 30 mins]

Pearl quickly began to tidy up the place and put things that were out away. Pearl swept and mopped, and made sure the house looked nice. She double checked the house was clean. Once she was sure it was clean she plopped down on the couch to relax.

After a few minutes of silence and relaxation on the couch, Pearl heard a knock at the door. She was pretty sure it was Lapis. She got up and walked over to the door. She opened it.

"Come on in Lapis!" Pearl tried not to seem as excited as she was. Her tried to hide how happy and embarrassed she was. She held the door wide open.

Lapis was standing in the doorway. She was wearing khaki shorts and a dark blue tanktop. She smiled, her bike handles in her hand as she held her bike next to her.

"Alrighty!" Lapis walked her bike in and leaned it against a wall. She smiled and plopped down on the couch. "So, whatcha wanna do Pearl? You must have messaged me over to do something." She grinned happily.

Pearl closed the door and smiled nervously. Her heart was racing again and her cheeks were a bright red. She smiled, cleared her throat and spoke up. "Ah, yes, um, I made blueberry pie, the first pie of the season and I wanted your opinion on it. Ah, my roommates have all been very busy so I didn't want to ask them." She nervously handled the end of her own apron.
