Growing up I was an only child. My parents only wanted one kid, so they only had one kid. I lived in Holland, Michigan, a very beautiful and calm town. I had a best friend named Rose. Keyword had. We were like twins. We were constantly together, since we were in kindergarten. That was until I turned eighteen, but I will get to that later. Rose was my only friend, but I had to go and ruin it like I ruin everything else.

I had a pretty good childhood until I was seven. One day when I was walking into my house after school I saw my mom on the couch wrapped up in a blanket burrito sobbing. I laughed at her at first, because who wouldn't laugh walking in on that. I was laughing until she told me why she was crying. My father had just been murdered.

Ever since that day people would look at me different in the hallways at school. I lost most of my friends. I don't even know why they stopped being my friend. The only friend that stayed was rose. My mom became depressed, but I tried to stay strong. I did most of the work around the house, payed the bills, cooked, etc.

My life went like that until I was a senior in high school.

On my eighteenth birthday I was walking home from school like any other day. When I walked into my house I didn't hear the my mom say hello to me like she always does when I come home from school. She didn't even tell me happy birthday that morning. We never said a word to each other that morning. When I went to look for her to say hi the sight I saw was something no one ever wants to see.

What I saw was my mom in her room dead. I called the police and they said it was not a natural death, but a murder.

No one went to the funeral but myself and rose. I was alone, an orphan. All by myself in the house that my mom was murdered in.

They never found out who killed my mom and dad, they probably never will.
