Aph and I had to clean off our faces after goofing off too much with the icing and it eventually decorated all the cupcakes along with some Oreos too. "Dig in!" Aph smiled as she took one for herself and started eating them. "ohm my goshhh these are the bestf cupcakes efer-" She said with a mouthful of cupcake looking like this; TvT. I laughed st her softly and decided to eat one for myself, letting myself chew and swallow it before talking. "They are pretty good." I said as I kept chowing down on it with Aph.

I noticed Zane having to move his mask a bit to eat the cupcakes; I'd never seen him not wearing one of those masks. I guess that's one thing that didn't change. Has he always had freckles-? They surprisingly suit him. They made him seem less threatening/emo in a way. I went back to the cupcakes, not wanting to stare and helped Aph save some for her to keep and Zane and I to take back to our homes. She set them in the kitchen and offered us both to stay a little longer till our original clothes were clean and watch tv. We all collectively agreed and say in her couch, of course, Aph putting me in the middle since she want Zane and I to get along still. You're pushing one too many buttons missy-

Aaron came back with groceries and Aph went over to help him out, leaving me with Zane to watch tv. I sat rather awkwardly, messing with the sleeves of my borrows shirt till he spoke up first. "Hey, I really do feel bad for what I did to you," He said, avoiding eye contact at first till his piercing blue eye looked into my (E/C) eyes, "i know there's no taking back any of it," he sighed, looking away again and I could see the genuine meaning in his eye when our eyes met again. "I'm sorry."

Never in these past years did I ever expect in a lifetime to hear him apologize. I could see it in his apologetic eye that he wasn't saying it just to say it. He really meant it. Of course he was right that it didn't make none of it happen, but he was actually sorry? "H-Hey I said I was sorry please don't do that-" he clearly doesn't know how comfort works yet since I couldn't help to cry a bit. But I was smiling. "Sorry sorry, I just," I wiped my eyes on my sleeves, "I never thought I'd hear that. It really means a lot." I could see the relief and a weight lift off of his shoulders and tension loosen away from mine.

"Could we.. start over?" He asked, "I don't only want to do this for Aph's sake since she really pushed both of us- but because you didn't deserve anything on how I treated you." He explained. Of course a lot of bad memories came with being around him, but I always would think back to when we met. In a way it was a reminder even then that he was still a human being. He was just as broken I was then, just in a different form. "Yeah, we can start again." I said and I'm the holy name of Irene I was going to smack Aphmau for sitting in her dining room behind Zane where I could see her giving thumbs up and squealing like a high school girl.

"YAAAAAY!! I'm so proud of you two!" She cheered, running over to hug us both before Aaron lifted her over his shoulder. "She got the pixie sticks again. She'll calm down in a bit, but good on you two." He said and it felt relieving in a good way. I didn't feel as afraid. There wasn't as much fear as there was before. It still riled my anxiety a little, but not as bad as before or back then. "Could I show you around tomorrow?" Zane offered. It was getting late so it would make sense to wait till tomorrow. At least I wouldn't be alone with him for a very long time, just small portions at a time- if still have to get used to this while still staying in my comfort zone. "Sure, this whole neighborhood seems strangely close anyways-" I said. "That's because the extensions of friend groups all moved in to one street-" he explained. I knew the development hadn't been built too long again, but w o w.

~Short time skip~
"I guess I'll be see you tomorrow morning then." I said at Aph's door, backnin my normal clothes, ready to head home with some cupcakes to take. Aaron's appearance reminded me I'll need groceries. I'll probably just use one of those weird apps to send me groceries- "Night Aph, night Aaron. Thanks for the cupcakes." I said to her and waved to Aaron. "Night (Y/N), ill see you tomorrow." Zane said as I left and walked back home. It was pretty convenient I didn't live too far so the walk was simple and I got in my house safely. I put the cupcakes in my fridge to stay good for another time, stretching and heading up to my room. I got into my pajamas comfortably and plopped myself down into bed, falling asleep easier than I do most nights. Peacefully.
