The Demons You Can't See

Chapter 3

D's POV

I woke up on a bridge that was floating in the middle of a black void like place, with the edges slightly glowing. I stood up quickly and started to walk in a certain direction, with pieces of the bridge like structure behind me dissolving as I continued to walk. I continued to walk until I suddenly appeared in front of a a large gate with a devilish look on it. It appeared to be chained closed and as I came closer to it, I could hear many voices around me speaking.

"Come with us Damian,"

"You are one of us,"

"Join us,"

"You are special,"

"Find the Key,"

"Find a way to us Damian,"

"You hold the key,"

I was about to touch it when a deep voice started to speak and said,"The path you walk is hidden from you child..Find the Key to unlock your destiny and unlock the gate that holds you at bay..Unleash your true power.."

I was about to respond back when suddenly the ground beneath me just shattered and I fell into the black void and got enveloped in darkness. I gasped for air as I sat up in my bed as I struggled to breathe, and was holding the center of my shirt as I sat there shocked and scared beyond my wit's end. What the hell was that?! I was breathing short, quick breathes as I sat there trying to regain what little sanity I had. I looked over to my nightstand and saw that my clock read 5:45 A.M..I got an hour and fifteen minutes until I have to be at the bus stop and end up at school..

I sighed as I swung my legs over the edge of my bed and grabbed some clothes to change into and jumped in the shower. I enjoyed the warmth of the extremely hot water and washed my hair and body with my shampoo and such before rinsing it out. I stepped out the shower and dried myself and ruffled my hair with my towel as I changed into my clothes and got ready for another day at hell. Once everything was said and done, I walked out the door with my stuff and plugged my music in almost right away.

I stood by the bus stop tapping to my music when I suddenly felt someone place their hand around my mouth and drag me into the shadows. I struggled against their grip and tried to break free with every ounce of strength I had, as I was surrounded in complete and utter darkness. I felt something slither around my legs and chest, as though there were many snakes or tentacles wrapping around me. The things had wrapped around me completely and were now squeezing the life out of me as I continued to struggle against whatever the hell this shit was.

"Don't fight it dear~" Someone said in a purr like voice as they whispered in my ear. I got scared and struggled against them even more as they said,"I love the scent of your fear..It's so sweet smelling and your such a good looking boy..I think I might have some fun before I dispose of you~"

My eyes widened in shock at this and the tentacles parted in some areas and one was pulling up my shirt and tugging at my pants a bit as I felt someone's hot breathe on my chest. I shivered at the touch of their breathe on my skin before everything suddenly stopped and I fell onto what felt like the ground with a thump. I backed away from whatever that thing was and watched as a serpent like lady laid on the ground with her head clean off of her body started to burn up in small embers. I saw the outline of a figure standing on the opposite side of the serpent-woman with something metallic in their hands.
