The Demons You Can't See

Chapter 4

D's POV

"HEY GUYS! I'M BACK FROM MORTAL SCHOOL!" Someone yelled and I just groaned as I grabbed a pillow that was nearby, and threw it in the direction of the voice.

"WHAT THE-"

Plop!

I heard the pillow make contact with whoever was speaking before I heard a 'thump' come from them as they were knocked to the floor.

"Keep it down..I'm try in to sleep if you don't mind," I mumbled as I threw another pillow over my head and tried to fall back asleep..

I was nearly asleep again before somebody jumped onto whatever I was laying on and launched me off of it.

I landed on the floor and shot awake as I said,"What the hell was that for man!?" angrily as I rubbed the back of my head and looked up to whoever did that. I did a double take as I said,"Soren?!" with a look of disbelief on my face.

"Hey D, I thought you were Xeno for a moment there..Have you met him yet?" Soren asked with a confused puppy look on his face.

"Yeah..I think so. If seeing the outline of his body and hearing his voice counts," I said as we chuckled a bit before someone else walked into the room.

"It's good to see that you're back without any harm Soren, so how'd your day go- Oh hey! It's good to see that you're awake. How are you feeling Damian?" A guy in his early twenties said as his blue-violet eyes lit up and looked deep into my soul.

"Um good, thanks..Are you Xeno?" I said trying to put a name on the navy haired guy.

He smiled a large smile as he said,"Yep! That's my name, don't wear it out!" as he suddenly became hyper in a way.

I smiled a nervous smile at him, as he continued to smile his large goofy grin. I could see his happy-go-lucky personality resonating off of him. Literally. It looked like he was a pulsing blue-violet star or something- just a lot dimmer. I looked over to Soren and saw grayish-white flames coming off of him instead of Xeno's nova glow.

Soren caught me looking at him weird as he said,"Everything okay D?"

"Uh huh," I said as I continued to stare at him,"Just trying to figure out what I'm seeing.."

"..."

"Well what are you seeing Damian? Describe it," Xeno said as he suddenly got serious and his glow dimmed down a bit and turned into a solid blue-violet color. Soren remain silent as I squinted my eyes, trying to figure out what I was seeing.

I was able to see a few skull looking images in Soren's flames as I said,"It looks like Soren has grayish-white flames coming off of his body..There's also the occasional skull that appears in black.."
