With a little slip of the hand the handkerchief drops,
That's when the damsel in distress has to stop
She looks behind her shoulder and gives a gentle smile,
As her knight in shining armour finally arrives
Clambering off his white maned steed he gives the little cloth back,
She swoons and falls into his arms, as they make eye contact
He carries her away on the speedy white horse and into the sunset they ride,
Away from the palace and away from the madness, away from their old lives
She gives him a part of her heart to hold and he takes it willingly,
Never before in her life had she done it, they'd jumped in thrillingly
He picked off a branch from a nearby oak tree, bending it into a circlet,
Placing it on her head with a delicate swoosh, together they were a perfect portrait
She'd take a bullet for him, a knife to the heart, she'd give herself away,
For he was her only, her Romeo, in the darkness a bright red flame
He was her forever, a shining star, together a constellation,
Soon it would be time for his intervention in her life, soon would be the coronation
A simple put vow and a bow of the head and together they had all the power,
A pretty white dress, crisp black suits and bouquets of delicate red flowers
A thud of a sceptre, a sweep of a cape and everyone knew what was to come,
When the cries of battle were gunshots in the air, the time of celebration was done
Bodies littered the floor, screams pitched the air and the white maned stallion was down,
Flags dotted the battlefield from when it had all started and in the centre was the golden crown
An intake of gasps and a flurry of cries as noone refused to believe,
Next to the crown was a red tipped knife and the laced white handkerchief.~Via
