Alec was wandering around the school, not really having anywhere to go. His summer was frightfully boring. Buffy had gone to her dads so he had barely spoken to her. He was still on the outs with Xander and Willow being Willow always took the side of her long time crush. He never thought he could feel this lonely.

At least he always had Giles to keep him entertained. That man didn't have any friends either.

He had missed Buffy so much. He never thought he could feel like this towards someone and some nights he actually found himself laying down in bed and thinking about what she might be doing.

His eyes widened as he caught three people walking down the stairs but only one person really got his attention. "Buffy?!" He exclaimed happily and rushed over to her. As she reached the bottom step he wrapped his arms around her and spun her around in a hug. "You're back."

"I told you I'd be back by the time school started." She said with a small smile.

"We actually saw her last night. We hung out for a bit." Willow said.

Alec furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at his blonde girlfriend. "You came home last night? How come you didn't tell me? I would have come and saw you."

"You're seeing me now." She said with a shrug. "Come on, don't make a big deal about nothing." She said with a roll of her eyes.

"I'm not making a big deal out of it." He said. "I'm just glad you're back. I missed you so much."

"I missed you to." She said just as Giles and Jenny came walking up to the three of them.

"Giles!" Willow exclaimed in excitement.

"Yo! G-man! What's up?" Xander also exclaimed. He could still feel the tension between him and Alec and he knew he should try and fix things but he was being stubborn and didn't believe he was in any wrong. He couldn't help how he felt.

"Nice to see you. And don't ever call me that." Giles said with a disgusted look on his face. Jenny also greeted them with a smile. Giles then turned his attention towards Buffy, who he had been worrying about since the whole thing with the master went down. "How are you?"

"Live and kicking."

"Buffy killed a vampire last night." Willow said and Alec winced at the volume of her voice, she had spoke way to loud and he would be surprised if the students around them hadn't heard what she had said.
