Chapter 3

I was still in bed, but the next thing I know is I'm on the floor.

"WAKE UP NEW-BE!" Evie was the one who pulled me out of bed? Oh, she's about to get her ass kicked!

I get up and get ready to kick her, but she put her hand in front of my chest and I screech. She pulled a white thing with a little bit of black in it.

"See this? This is your soul. It would be a shame if I did...." She began to squeeze it and I fell on the ground. I can't... breathe. She suddenly let go. I took a huge breath.

"WHAT THE HELL DUDE!"

"Oh, you want me to do it again? I can if you-"

"NO! Please. I'm sorry. What kind of witchery is this?"

"Oh, it's not witchery, it's just my power. Don't tell me you grew up in a world without magic."

I stare at her blankly,"Oh, you poor thing! A life without magic? That must have been horrid!"

"What do you mean?"

"The mortal world, of course. You must be hungry. Go through all the food if you want, but if you even look at my wine, I'll rip your head off!"

I nod real fast and run to the kitchen and get squeezed close to death by Garden,"Hi Griffin! How are you?"

"I'd be better if I wasn't getting hugged to death!"

"Oh! I'm SO sorry!" She lets go and I took a huge breath. Geez that's the second time I almost died! I really need to do better.

"Thank you! I'm fine, but how are you?"

"Oh! I thought you'd never ask! I am perfect~. I am better than perfect! I'm-" I cut her off and she pouts.

"Please not so much. I just woke up!"

"Aw, but-"

"No buts! So what's for breakfast?" I immediately regret my question. She jumped up with glee and ran to the kitchen. She came back and put something in my mouth. Damn she's a good cook!

"I'll have a second portion if that's alright with you!"

Her eyes sparkled,"Of course! You can have as much as you want!"

I go sit down and wait. I hear footsteps and a girl with galaxy hair and blue eyes comes in.

"Hi. I'm Griffin. Nice-" she cuts me off.

"Don't talk to me." She began to stare at me. I started to get very nervous. She began to speak about my personal life, like about my parents, about my crushes, and she even knew my last name when I haven't told anyone it. I come from a long line of Soulfurs.

"How-" She cut me off again.

"What did I say! Shut the fuck up!"

I sit quietly while she continues to talk about my life. She just creeps me out. She's one HUGE stalker. Damn she's good! Garden comes in and greets us and puts the food on the table.
