Blake whats Olympus high, I asked. Olympus middle school, the brown haired girl who introduced herself as Rose corrected. It's a place for kids who are demigods, Blake cut in. What's a demigod, I asked. A demigod is a half human half god. There's Egytion demigods roman demigods and greek demigods, oh and Mesopotamian demigods, and- Blair was interrupted when Blake said, ok I think she gets it plus we're here. What kind of demigod am I, I asked. But they just said, go pack your bags and get your little sister. But Charlotte isn't a demigod she isn't my actual sister. We suspect she might be a daughter of Aphrodite. Who am I a daughter of, I asked. We don't completely know but we suspect Hermes. Hermit? I said. No Hermes, Briar laughed. God of thieves, gymnastics, messengers, you get the idea.
This is crazy, I thought. First I see a monster then my cat turns into a monster now my best friend is taking me and my four year old sister to a place that sounds even crazier than the monster. I'm planning to escape when Blake reaches over and squeezes my hand. The gesture brings heat to my face. It's ok Rickey, I know it's a lot to take in, but trust me its all true. After a while he realizes that he's still holding my hand and quickly let it go. Briar saw the whole thing and said, smooth big bro. Me and Blake stuttered and shook our heads but rose and Briar laughed and giggled. I took a step away from Blake and said I have to pack my bags. Blake was just my friend right. Why did I blush and feel so ridiculously happy when he held my hand. I kept on thinking about this as I finished packing and went to get my sister from the daycare. Rickey, Charlotte yelled jumping into my arms. Charlotte we have to go. Are we visiting mommy and daddy? She said gleefully. No but we may need to call them on my phone. Why what happened, her happy tone sounding worried. I can't explain but I packed your bags now let's go. Did you tell the principal that we're leaving? She asked. No but she won't care, now lets go, I said. I picked her up and together we met up with Blake and the girls. Hi Blake, Charlotte said cheerfully. Then her face brightened and she said, Mr are you taking Rickey on a date and these two girls are my babysitters. Blake's grew so red he looked like a tomato with a face and hair. I looked her in the eyes and said, Charlotte I told you I do not like ANYONE like that, so do not ask me if I have a crush. Blake's face looked like it fell for a second (it was probably a trick of the light) but then he said, Rickey did you call your parents and tell them. No, I said with a frown. I wondered what my mom would think about it. I took a deep breath and dialed my moms number. She answered on the third ring. Hi sweetheart, she said, what's up. Mum I'm goingtoadifferentschoolbecauseiwasjustattackedbyamonsterbutdontworrydpikeisactuallysometgingcalledahellcatsoshesavedme. I could barely understand what I just said through the phone buying guess my mum could. Honey, mom said, take you and Charlotte to Olympus boarding school now I'm sure that the boy Blake you told me about knows the way. Sweetie you have to go run talk to me as soon as you can bye love. She hung up so quick I just stood there in shock for a minute. Charlotte, I said, mum wants us to leave the bloody hellhole to go to a different place, so we are going to have to follow Blake to the new bloody school. Rickey, Charlotte said, you know I don't like it when you say the hell hole and bloody. Blake snickered but I just rolled my eyes and said, just take us to this school blondie. Ok but we need you and spike if we want to get there before curfew. What can I do? I asked. You have super speed right, he said. I looked at him uncertainly. Sure I'm fast but- oh come on Rickey you know you have super speed. Yeah but you saw what happened the last time I went so faster than ninety miles. He smiled and said rose you have that ice stuff right. Quick freeze, rose said, of course I have it. She pulled out a blue ice cube. How did that not melt, I asked. Oh quick freeze only melts slowly while your running ninety miles per minute. I can't run that fast, I exclaimed. Yes you can now chew and run, he said before stuffing the ice in my mouth. Everyone grab onto Rickey, everyone grabbed onto me and with one shove I was running so fast I couldn't see. Left, I heard Blake shout. I turned left. It went that way for five minutes before Rose said stop. But I was going so fast I had to do a baseball slide to slow down and everyone fell of me even spike who was clinging to my neck. We're here briar said running inside. I looked up. The sign said Home Depot. What the heck, I said to Blake and Rose. Just come on, Blake said grabbing my arm and dragging me in. We went straight to a wall. He put his hand on the wall and it opened up. Woah, Charlotte squealed. We went inside the wall and a bunch of people crowded around us. Rose we can't believe you defied Hercules and went to find Blake, someone said. Blake finally your back it was about to be lights out. The crowd thinned out and the biggest man I ever seen came. You must be Rickey, he boomed, welcome to Olympus school.
