"Hey Beka, wanna come over today?" Yurio asked Otabek as he put on his slightly oversized tiger coat. It was almost the end of the school day, and their class was packing up so they would be out when the bell rang. "To your house? Are you sure your dad won't mind?" Otabek asked him, putting on a leather jacket Yurio found cool. "I think he'd actually be happy if I brought a friend home." Yurio laughed, then slipping his mittens on(with cats on it of course), and putting his hat on. папа Yuuri might have gone overboard with Yurio's winter-wear.
"Then I'll just call my parents and tell them I'll be with you." "Do they know who I am?" Yurio asked, wondering what his parents would think of him. "Yeah, I talk to them about you. They seemed happy when I said you were my friend." Otabek explained as he wrapped a scarf around his neck. That made Yurio wonder what he says to his parents when he talks about him. The school bell then rang throughout the classroom, signaling that the school day was over. Their class lined up, and walked out to the school's entrance.
Yurio and Otabek stood outside as they waited for Yuuri to come pick them up. Teachers were supervising and calling out to students to let them know that their parents have arrived to pick them up. Yurio started to think up many ways папа Yuuri would react to seeing Otabek. Would he be mature or flat out embarrass Yurio by talking about Yurio when he was a baby? Would he talk about how Yurio sometimes falls asleep on папа Yuuri's bed out of habit? Or worse...Would he mention папа Viktor?
"Yurio! Your dad is here!" The teacher called out. Yurio then looked towards where the teacher was at, and there was папа Yuuri. "папа!" Yurio said as he ran and hugged him. Yuuri laughed, and hugged his small son back gently before standing up and spinning him around for a few seconds. Yurio laughed as папа Yuuri did so, seeing how this was a silly tradition of theirs.
When папа Yuuri set Yurio back down, Yurio backed up a bit, then motioning for Otabek to come over. He walked over to them, and Yuuri was looking confused at the moment. "Yurio, who is this?" He asked his son calmly. "This is my friend Beka." Otabek reached out his hand to shake Yuuri's, clearly trying to make a good impression. "Nice to meet you, sir." Otabek said calmly, making eye contact as they shook hands, surprising Yuuri with his good manners. "Nice to meet you too, Beka." "That's actually not my name. It's Otabek Altin, sir." Otabek corrected, and he noticed from the corner of his eye how Yurio had a twinkle in his eye as he watched. He seemed to be happy that he didn't let папа Yuuri call Otabek by his special nickname.
"папа, can Otabek come over today?" Yurio asked, looking at Yuuri with a pleading look. Yuuri looked at Otabek then. "Well, if his parents let him, he can. Do you know their number?" Yuuri asked, pulling out his phone and offering it to the child now known as Yurio's friend. "Yes, sir." Otabek said as he took the phone out of Yuuri's hand, dialing the number. "Do you think they'll say yes?" Yurio asked as he watched. "I'm gonna be with you, of course they will." Otabek responded, hitting call after he finished dialing. Yuuri watched happily at the two kids, full of joy and pride that his son finally made a friend.
