Lance
The scorching Californian sunlight poured into the classroom. The only sounds were of pencils scratching against paper. A talk latino teen wrote his name on the corner of his test sheet, 'Lance Scy'. He pushed up on his glasses and stood to hand in his paper. The other teens looked up from their tests and watched him, envious of him being the first done. All, except one. The teacher thanked him and Lance went back to his seat.
He knew he should be focusing on his homework, like that biology essay that was due in three days, but instead he was pulling out an old notebook that had one word on the cover; 'Findings'.
The classmates that were still looking at him rolled their eyes upon recognizing the tattered notebook. They all knew what it meant, it meant that Lance had yet another paranormal theory.
Lance has always been interested in the supernatural, like Bigfoot, Mothman, and the Lokeness, but now Lance had come crossed something much bigger.
The Night before, Lance had been walking through the woods outside his home. The same woods he always swore were haunted. In his hands were his paranormal investigative tools, devices that were suppose to pick up some supernatural energy.
Even though they weren't picking anything up, he still could feel it; eery, mysterious, and scary.
He had pressed on, even as his instincts got prepared for the flight or fight response. That was when he saw it. A creature, standing in the moonlight. From it's back he could tell it was humanoid, except for the horns that stuck out from it's forehead and the lion like tail protruding from it's lower back.
He took a step closer, one silent quiet step and noticed a marking on the base of its neck. A square with an odd looking V right in the square's center. He took one more step forward, hoping to observe more of the creature before him, when it suddenoh turned.
It's blood red eyes glowed and seemed to pierce through the darkness. They stared at each other for a moment, but before Lance could do anything the creature growled, a deep rumble that shook Lance to his very core, and fled.
Lance wrote all of this down on a page labeled '???'. He wrote down all he knew of the monster, even if it wasn't very much. Underneath it all he wrote the words 'Prime Suspect' . There was only one person he knew to very likely be the beast.
Glancing over to his left, he caught a glimpse of the boy sitting next to him. The boy had raven black hair and pale skin that was sprinkled with freckles. However, these were the only recognizable part of him. Upon beginning of the school year, the freshmen boy had told all of his teachers that he had an 'eye condition' and therefore he had to wear his sunglasses and hoodie at all times. At first Lance didn't think much of him, but after last night, there was no denying it. He hoped the boy saw as he wrote down his suspect, 'Pym Manors'.Pym
'He's onto me. He's onto me. He's onto me. He's onto me.'
