To the First Star

Two pictures hang above your head,
One says 'love', the other 'home'.
I couldn't imagine a more fitting place,
For you to sit.

I wonder if you know how you,
Armed with only a silly smile,
Have inspired the author in my veins,
The magic of your presence is like watching sun rise and set.

The contagious twinkling of your laughter can hypnotize the men around you,
And the lights bends in vain to spread the mesmerizing sound.
People cant help but fall in love with you,
It is the strongest weapon in your arsenal.

You shine so brightly within your own darkness.
It's that light,
as bright as the dawning sun,
That infatuates everyone who is blessed enough to be in your presence.

You are the first star at night,
Something mortals wish upon, in hopes to be as radiant.
