Chapter 13: Will you Marry me?

Arizona's Point of view:

SO it is 6:30 in the morning and I am up and ready to leave the house for work but Calliope is taking forever to hurry up. I have the ring with me and I think I might just ask her at work instead of doing some fancy dinner. I am going to do it in front of all our friends at lunch today. I packed my red dress for at lunch I can change into it before it is time to ask. I am alittle bit freaking out because I dont know what she is going to say we are only 26. What if she says no to me and what if we break up because of it. Gay Marriage just became legal in Washington last year so what would be the problem. I am cut out of my thought when when Callie wraps her arms around me from behind and gives me a kiss on my check and it makes me smile.

I keep thinking and thinking what if she says no. She notice I am freaking and asks me whats wrong and I just tell her it is nothing then the twins come running in. They both sit at the kitchen Table waiting for Breakfest. I tell them Addison is taking them to school this morning and I would see them at 9 since we work. I gave them both a kiss on the lips and and me and Calliope left. 

We get to the hospital at 6:45 and change. I leave the ring in my jacket pocket and go to start morning rounds. Once I see who is all on my rounds this morning I smile. Teddy,Alex, Mark, and Derek. Are on my rounds so that is 4 of our friends to tell right now.

"Ok well you have all been on ounds with me but I need to ask something before we all go in ok?" I say to them with a smile.

"Ok what is it?"They all say but Alex he knew well probably knew what I was going to say.

"You all need to have lunch with me and Callie today. I would tell you why but it would get back to Callie so just please come ok?" I say and they all say yes and we start rounds. Once we get done with rounds I head into the OR to help Teddy with a child that just came in. We walked into the OR and started working right away. While I was in my own little I didnt  even hear her say what she said.

"Arizona are you going to answer me?" Teddy asked kicking me under the table.

"Sorry girl I was in my own world what did you say?" I asked her and she just smiled well it looked like she was smiling.

"Are you doing you know what at lunch today?" Teddy said for the second time that day.

"Yeah I am but I have to make it on time to lunch did you tell Merideth to set at the table today?"

"Yeah she said she couldnt because she will be in the O.R. with um  Webber or replacement Shepard since you need him at the table?" Teddy said with a smile.

"Whatever he doesnt have to be there you Mark, Addisn and I will be fine."I say with a smile.

We finish up at 11 which means I have an hour before Callie will be out of O.R. and ready for lunch. I tell Teddy to come with me and she does and Addison meets us at our lockers and I change into my dress and have Teddy do my hair. Once we were done it was 11:45 and we didnt run but we fast walked to the Cafe. I got my lunch and the ring and sat down at the table with Mark, Addison, Teddy and Derek texted me telling me he was with Callie and they were on their way down here and should only be 5 minutes. 

Once I got that text I got butterflys in my stomach. I guess Mark noticed and asked me a question.

"You ok blondie?"He asked me.

"Yeah fine I just I am about to ask her to marry me you know?" I say freaking out.

"Ok we will help you just chill out."Mark says and as soon as he says that Callie and Derek show up and set down. I  smiles at Callie and she smiles back at me.

"Why did you change honey? Dont get me wrong love the dress."Callie says to me and smile hoping our friends can help me out right now.

"Hey Mark what do you think about marriage?" Addison asked him noticing I needed help.

"Well I think it is whatever. If you love the person then you love them it is just a paper saying that and some benifits. But I also love how it is says you guys will be forever and ever."Mark says with a smile."How about you Teddy what do you think?" Mark asked Teddy.

"I love the idea a wedding the dresses the bridemaids the party. Then the two people showing everyone that they love each other. I love it and I want to get married so bad."Teddy says then looks at Callie. "Callie what is your dream wedding were and when? And who would be your bridesmaids?" Teddy asked thanks I guess.

"Um I dont know somewhere warm. A Beach maybe the sand. Everyone we love together there for the two of us. The I would have Addy and probably Christina as my bridesmaids maybe Lexie if we were having 3 or no Mark would be up there with me so Mark, Addison, then Christina."Callie says and right when she finishes she turns to say something to me and I slide the box out of my pocket and slide it in front of her. She smiled at me then saw the box and looked shocked at me.

"Ok Calliope Torres. You are my best friend and have since we met in that hallway and Sara was being a bitch to you. I knew as soon as I laid eyes on you that I wanted to spend forever with you. I love you so much. We have 2 babies well 7 year olds together and I want to have so many more with you. I want a house with out Addy and Tim there and their new baby girl when she comes. Just you me the twins and more babies to come. Maybe a dog and some chickens just maybe. So will you make me the happiest person ever and do me the honor of marring me!"I saw with a smile opening the box and holding the ring in front of her. She looks at the ring then starts crying which I thought would be a good but I was so so so so so wrong." 

"Arizona. "she says trying to stop crying and when she does she says it."No I will not marry you." Callie said.

I looked at our friends and they all just looked shocked as shocked as I was. I got up placed the ring on the table and left the room.I couldnt be by anyone right now. So I ran to mine and Callie on callroom and thought this is the first place she will look. So I got up and got in my car and went to pick up the kids. When I got to their new school I said we had a family problem and the kids came down from their classrooms with all of their stuff. I took their hands and got in the car. Once We were all in the car I drove to a hotel about an hour away from the house. When we checked in I called Teddy and asked if she could stop at the house and get me and the kids cloths she said yeah and I told her I would meet her in an hour to get them from her at the hospital.
