"Ikanaide!"
13 years had passed since Elizabeth had said that, its been 13 years since that day.
The day he went away.
"I wonder if you're okay.."
"Ne, Meliodas?" Elizabeth said sadly looking up the sky through the window of the kitchen.
"Mommy!" Someone called and Elizabeth felt her child's arms wrapped around her waist.
"Oh, Melia. What is it dear?" Elizabeth asked her daughter who had silver hair like Elizabeth and the emerald eyes of her father. Yes, Melia was Meliodas and Elizabeth's daughter.
"Mommy? Are you crying because of dad again?" Melia asked, Elizabeth only stared at the girl and smiled after a little while. She didn't realize that tears were formed.
"Again? Oh no dear, i'm not crying." Elizabeth smiled, Melia didn't look convinced.
"Yes, again. I've seen you cry sometimes and I hear dad's name.." Melia looked at Elizabeth's eyes that had tears.
"Honey, I would never blame your father for anything." Elizabeth crouched a little and hugged her. The girl's expression saddened, "But.."
"I'm fine, really. Thank you for caring." Elizabeth let go and looked Melia in the eyes. "Go on outside and be with your friends." Elizabeth smiled, Melia smiled back and went out to see that her friends were waiting for her outside
Elizabeth watched as Melia left, she left the door open and Elizabeth leaned on the door frame. Seeing the town of Liones, living a normal life.
Elizabeth was and still is a princess, but after marrying Meliodas, she decided to live off a normal life with her husband in the town. Her father still visits her often and she goes to the castle when she's free.
"Hey Elizabeth," Someone called, She turned around to see King. "Oh! hello King." Elizabeth gave him a smile. King stood next to her, watching Melia walk away with her friends.
"Where's Diane?" Elizabeth asked. King crossed his arms. "Asleep, She's been doing chores all day."
"and you?" Elizabeth asked the Fairy looking the same as he looked before. "Being a fairy King has it's ups and downs."
Elizabeth nodded, laughing. "I see, I bet you're tired. Would you like some tea? coffee?"
King smiled, "Tea sounds nice." Both entered Elizabeth's house. "It's been a a long time since I actually entered your house Elizabeth, comfy." King complimented the house once he sat on the couch.
"It really has, having to go to the Fairy Realm monthly and taking care of two children. That must have been a lot of work." Elizabeth comes back with a tray and two cups of chamomile tea.
"So, how is it with Melia, is she doing well?" King asked after a sip. Elizabeth smiles, "Yes, she's doing fine. Her birthday's in two days."
"Ah, yes, she's about to turn 13?" King asked, happily. "Yes, turning into a teenager I suppose." Elizabeth smiled, staring at her cup of tea.
"She's turning the same age as Lance, right?" Elizabeth asked, King nodded with a smile. "Yeah, trouble maker that one is. Diana, however takes after me." King stated proudly, making Elizabeth giggle.
"You wouldn't want Diane to hear that, would you?" Elizabeth asked, King sighed "Nope."
"My father gladly made the castle as the venue." Elizabeth told King, King chuckled, "He's going all out, I see. We'll be there."
"Yes, and everyone else as well." Elizabeth then out her cup of tea on the table.
There was silence, until King spoke. "you miss him, ne, princess?" Elizabeth looked at King, brow raised. "Meliodas I mean." He looked at Elizabeth's eyes.
"Of course I do, He's my husband." Elizabeth smiled sadly, King however, frowned.
"It's gonna be okay, Elizabeth. He'll come around sometime." King tried to lighten the mood that he had caused.
"I just have to be positive." Elizabeth gave King a genuine smile, King smiled back. "That's a good way to think."
"Well, I have to go now. Diane might've woken up, so I'll be going. Thanks for the tea." King stood up and gently placed the cup on the table.
"See you at the party." Elizabeth waved as King left the house, Elizabeth then decided to wash the dishes and cook dinner.
While she was washing the dishes, there were some utensils that weren't washed so she washed those as well. Plates, spoons, forks and knives.
However, while she was rinsing the knives, she had accidentally cut herself. She flinched at the pain and decided to wash it.
"Elizabeth, are you okay?" A voice behind her asked, she looked back to see Meliodas. Elizabeth however didn't speak, she was too dazed by what she was seeing. Meliodas took her arm and put a small bandage on the cut.
"You should be careful." Meliodas smiled, Elizabeth simply nodded. Getting back to the dishes, where she just realized that she was done.
"Wait." She looked at her finger, it was still bleeding and the Meliodas that she just saw disappeared, she looked everywhere, "Meliodas..?" She asked quietly, instead, she saw Melia opening the door.
"Mommy?" she asked, Elizabeth just smiled. "Welcome home, i'm preparing dinner." Elizabeth went back to the kitchen and put a bandage on her cut as soon as she was done, she started to make dinner.
