Time passed by, all of the children were asleep in their own rooms. Leaving the adults, except Elizabeth all together. This was the chance that Ban was looking for.

"Well, everyone here?" Ban asked, everyone was still in the dining area. He looked around the room. No one answered Ban but he knew that everyone was there so he nodded to himself.

"Everyone follow me to the drawing room." Ban then opened the doors and everyone followed him. No one said anything until they got to the drawing room.

Everyone sat on the chairs, At the middle was Meliodas. All eyes were on him. No one spoke yet.

"Well, anyone gonna start? I know we have all night but we aren't getting anywhere." Ban sighed, looking around the room. All eyes were on Meliodas yes, but they couldn't open their mouths. 

Ban knew nothing would happen unless he started something. Sighing, he turned to Meliodas. "Meliodas, why don't you start?" 

Meliodas hesitated before he spoke. "Okay. I know everyone wants answers." Meliodas paused, "The reason I left." He paused again, everyone was obviously listening to him, but he was just making sure. 

"As everyone knows by now, I'm a demon. No surprise in that, and well, I'm cursed by the demon king, my father." Meliodas looked okay, but it was pretty hard talking about the curse that was put on him. 

"and the curse was?" Ban asked, Meliodas took a deep breath. "I'm cursed with two things, me being immortal and me having to leave my loved ones for 13 years." No one reacted just yet, since he wasn't done.

"The curse was that if I had a child with someone I love, trouble or well, demons would go after the child and everyone else I love. When the demon King was defeated years ago, it was his last curse to put on me. He wanted me to suffer." Meliodas looked at the expressions of everyone in the room, they were all looking down, he couldn't see their faces. 

"I didn't know that I had a child just yet, but something triggered in me that I just had to leave. I knew that it was the curse, so I had to. Because once the child was born, demons would already attack everyone." 

"But aren't the demons defeated?" Diane asked, with a quiet voice. 

"Yes, the demons are defeated, but there are other demons lurking around. The weak demons that can easily be controlled. The demons serve only the demon King. He made them look for the child if it was ever born. For the past 13 years, I've been clearing out threats my father have left." 

Meliodas sighed, "I knew that people were gonna get hurt, but it was the best plan I had." 

"Couldn't we just protect Melia?" King asked, Meliodas shook his head. "There's me." 

"What?" Ban asked, surprised. "The curse was, I had to leave everyone for 13 years but if the demons would be eradicated by The Seven Deadly Sins, I would go on a rampage and kill everyone." 

"Now that you've come back, do you still have the curse?" Merlin asked, Meliodas shook his head. "No, I don't. The curse disappears once I have left for 13 years. The Demon King thought he would drive me insane if I left you guys." 

"Why didn't you tell us?" Gowther asked, Meliodas looked at Gowther with a sad look. "It was better if no one knew, everyone would go after me." 

"It was the more reason that we did go after you." Gowther pointed out, Meliodas sighed in defeat. "You got me there, Gowther."
