Don't Look At Me

I might look embarrassing

I might look dumb

I might look weird

but don't look at me.

I might look crazy

I might look fat

I might look ugly

but don't look at me.

I might sound sarcastic

I might sound rude

I might sound mean

but don't look at me.

I might be that girl 

the girl that sits alone

one surrounded by sorrow

but please, don't look at me.

I don't like the spotlight

the one where you feel isolated from the rest

and tear up

for God's sake, don't look at me

Behind every pair of eyes

that look my way

there are a million possible things they could be thinking

so don't look at me.

If you're going to judge me

don't do it in front of me

because your eyes

are looking at me

and I don't want to be looked at.
