Childhood to Teenage Years

I was overweight since the age of 5 and remembered being bullied in school. As such, during my childhood days, I would be so conscious of myself, to the extent where I actually became an insecure and shy pre-teen with few friends. I would borrow plenty of books and read them to compensate for my lack of social life. I had lots of leisure time which I used on my academics and ended up as the top few in class, while still being bullied. Eventually, puberty hit me at 13 and I lost some weight. By the age of 14, I managed to lose quite a fair bit of weight and went from overweight to mildly underweight. Although my physical body had changed, however, deep down I am still that insecure overweight girl.
I was too young to understand that things were starting to change...
