A Shinobi's Secret

Chapter 1

"Naruto you're going to crack some time soon so just give up and speak. You may just end up dying of blood loss if you don't." I heard a voice mutter and I looked up to see Tsunade.

"Never." I growled out, though my voice was weak and strained do to dehydration. For the past three years I've been cooped up in this cell. My wrists are chained to the wall behind me, my ankles chained to the floor, and my neck chained to the wall as well. My body was battered, bloody, and bruised. That fateful day three years ago when Tsunade found out who I was changed everything. Though I never did find out what happened to Gaara. I smirked, "I'll never say a thing, Granny Tsunade you might as well give up." I taunted and saw her eyes widen with rage as tears threatened to spill.

"SHUT UP!" She shouted as she lunged forward and punched me. My face flew to the side smacking against the wall, but I just sat there my bangs covering my eyes as I smirked. "Don't you dare act like him! You are not the Naruto I used to know! He's dead now, you took over his body you... you monster!"

"If only you hadn't figured it out. Don't you regret the past three years? Locking me up I haven't seen daylight. Don't you pity me Tsunade?" I asked, three long years stuck in this dump. Just when will I escape?

3 Years Ago
"What are you doing here... Naruto?" Tsunade asked and I felt my eyes widen. Tsunade motioned to someone and I felt people grab my arms restraining me. "I'm assuming your accomplice is Gaara?" I refused to move and Tsunade made a signal with her hand. I felt something sharp pierce my left leg, it was then removed and shoved into my upper right bicep where it stayed. I bit my lip gritting my teeth. "I'll have you know we tried to take 'Makoto' into custody. He managed to escape however he just left you behind, abandoned you. So why not betray him as well? Just tell us where he is and how we might be able to stop him, who knows we may end up releasing you. After a few years in prison of course." I still refused to move not uttering a sound. Gaara... he wouldn't betray me something's wrong.

"Lady Tsunade!" A voice rang out entering the room. "I have the papers you asked for.... what's going on here?" I turned my head slightly to see Shizune.

"Shizune how many times have I told you to knock? Anyways Naruto, might as well release the transformation I know it's you." I made a handsign and soon looked just how I used to. Spiky blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, and whisker marks adorning my cheeks. Shizune gasped,

"Naruto..." Everyone ignored her however their attention remaining on me.

"So how'd you figure it out?" I asked the smirk never leaving my face.

"When we discovered you had a seal on your chest. Kakashi said that it looked like the one on Naruto, but it might just have been a coincidence. If you hadn't been so careless we might never had noticed." I smirked,

"I see, I guess I must atone for my sins. You know being so stupid and all, but not here. I guess I'll be going." I bowed my arms now free and quickly flashed outside. I looked back at the tower and crouched down taking off.

"NARUTO!" I turned to my head to the side, still running, to see the Konoha 12. Just seeing my old comrades and friends made me slow down a bit as my steps faulted. I was then tackled to the ground. My wrists pinned above my head and my assailants knees on either side of my waist. I looked up,

"Sasuke?" I asked seeing the raven haired boy above me. "Get off!" I panicked, "I have to go, you don't understand Sasuke. I have to escape, now!" Soon though it was too late as ANBU surrounded us Tsunade and Jiraiya with them. "Sasuke!" I shouted struggling under him.

"Sasuke." Tsunade repeated calmly. "Good job, you may release him now." The Uchiha seemed a little hesitant but nodded releasing me. I was allowed to stand up before an ANBU pinned my arms to my back pressing a kunai against my neck. I laughed causing the knife to slightly pierce the flesh leaving a small line of red.

"Oh how interesting. What are you going to do to me? You know I'll never break, I'll never crack. Cause you see, I'd never betray my own." Tsunade narrowed her eyes,

"You didn't seem to have trouble betraying the village." I smirked laughing even more,

"Well I said I'd never betray one of my own. I was never truly a part of this village, nothing but an outcast, a demon a monster right?" I asked venom lacing my voice. "I am not one of you, I never was. I am a member of the Akatsuki. Naruto Uzumaki Death's Shadow."
