the day I fell in love
a long bus ride
like little kids, we rushed up the steps and ran towards the cheeky backseatit was the epitome of being a teen;
the rush of adrenaline when his lips touches mine and our hands intertwine —a conflict between the similarities of intimacy and love;
after constant validation of unsure 'iloveyou's,that was the day all doubts disappeared
//
it wasn't the soul-crushing statements or the mind-blowing kisses,
no
it was instead a subtle moment
of shared earphones,
of solace,
of how gently he rests his head in the crook of my shoulder, closed his eyes and all I could hear was heartbeats and James Arthur's 'say you won't let go' playing,and in that moment
I wanted to scream in the top of my lungs
"I'm home."
