Marinette's POV
It's almost my Debut, and this time, Maman won't make a party. She did say I'm grounded forever, so technically, she'll not throw a party this time.
This Debut I'll be having would just be me, alone in my room, sitting down depressed. Thinking why can't I have a normal debut just like the other girls?
They get to dance with 17 boys, having their Father as the 18th. While I'm just here, sitting down and lonely. Maman didn't throw a party this time. But this year, it's my debut! And I've been waiting for this year to happen!
Tonight, I will escape, I will escape on being a petty Princess and be one with my people. I don't care if Bridgette becomes Queen, all I want is to get out from this nightmare I'm having.
The door opened and shows the Queen of China, Maman, "Marinette.. I hope you understand what I am doing." I remained silent. "Look, I'm only doing this because of your wish. You said, not to throw parties anymore, am I right?" this time, I faced her.
"Those were just Birthday Parties Maman but, this time, it's different. It's my first Debut and I didn't get a chance to celebrate it. It's highly unfair that Bridgette will get her Debut in a few years and I, never even experienced one."
I respond, looking back at the window and stare at the lovely sight until rain poured down and covered all the happiness. "I-I.. I just hope you understand on what I am doing for yo--" I cut her off, "For me? Or for you? You make decisions on your own without even asking me.." I snap at her.
She was shocked, "Marinette that kind of attitude must not be tolerated at--" I cut her again, "I'll just be getting a drink. After this conversation, leave me alone!" I growl. I don't care about my attitude.
I stand up and walk out of the room, just I was abou to, Maman grabbed my left arm. " I did not raise you like this Marinette!" I smirk at her, "Really? Well, it seems like I thought myself too. You can't control every move I make everyday Maman, that's just unfair.." she looks at me, anger in her eyes. "Now if you'll excuse me Queen Sabine, I will be getting myself a drink."
I emphasized the two words, Queen Sabine. I forcefully got my arm out from her grasp and went ahead to get a glass of water.
I walkes past the Family portrait and a lot from my ancestors are all loyal Maman said. She said, they never ever got rebellious over their destiny.
But now, I'll be changing that..

It's now 12 midnight and I expect everyone to be asleep and I guess my expectations are correct. Everyone was sound asleep. I grabbed my backpack that's a Ladybug pattern, and I made a quick farewell speach in whisper and gently jumped out from my room.
I went to gymnastics before, the lessons did really a good part in my life. I gently jumped down from the roof of my window, not making any unnecessary sounds in order not to wake everyone up.
Good thing I'm just wearing a hoodie. A Ladybug hoodie, I kinda love it, Adrien gave it to me on my 16th birthday. He sent it through letter and my gift.
I carefully climbed on the wall and jumped down on the other side. I grinned widely at my sudden successful escape. I also contacted a fellow friend of mine to find me a place to stay for my entire life now.
I also left my crown and wrote down a letter to Maman and Papa. I hope they understand what I really want in life.
I went over to my friends place and knocked on the hard wooden door. I heared a groan and grumbling and I heared footsteps come over to the door.
The door went open, revealing a dark blue haired girl along with green eyes. She likes cats too, just like Adrien.
"Hey Emma, where is that place you were talking about?"
"Nggh.. Marinette, at least don't wake me up in the middle of the night. I feel like I'm a zombie.."
I giggle at her complain. She lives alone and so I help her in living. I sometimes send someone to give her a sack of golden coins if she really needs some.
She grabs a lantern, and gestures me to follow her. I patiently and calmly followed her on where she's leading me to. I have a code name now to keep my Princess form to be forgotten.
My code name's now Ladybug. I'll be a rebel, a mischief in the streets of China. As long as I live, I don't want to go back into that cramped and cold castle.
We've been walking for minutes now, we were on top of a hill, not too far from the Village. Good thing I have 5 sacks of golden coins, making my bag heavy with my clothes, sewing kit and cloth in it.
"Awwww.. We're hear Mari,"
Yawned out Emma. I stepped out from her back and looked at the place. It was big, and it's perfect to be hidden from my Family. "Is this place cleaned?" I ask, while still looking at the huge house.
"Hm? Oh yeah, awwww.. I cleaned it for weeks just for you. Cause I know what you're going through, so, I should probably make the place cozy for you to stay. Since, you helped a lot for me, it's time for me to pay your kindness.."
I look at Emma and smiled, I came over to her and hugged her. She was shocked for a few seconds but, she gave in easily. "Thanks Em.. This means a lot." I say to her. We were still hugging.
"No problem! Oh right, here's the key for the house."
"Where did you get this place anyway?"
"Oh, it was abandoned but, it really looks amazing inside. Don't worry, no ghosts are in it. It's all for a Princess too! I bought stuff like, a Queen sized bed, a big mirror and stuff that Princess's like. I used all the gold coins you gave me, it's the least I can do after what you did to me.."
I smiled at her, I reached for my bag and gave her 2 sacks of goild coins. Besides I'll be a mischief or a thief anyway. Might as well share my wealth. "Here.." I hand over the gold coins.
"W-What? I can't accept this Marinette. It's yours to take!"
"Oh psh, I'll be stealing then. Besides, I wanted to be a rodent for once. Here, take it, you deserve and earned it."
She slowly takes the sack of gold coins and thanks me. "I'll be leaving now, good night Marinette. Feel free to come over my house anytime you want.." she courtesy and leaves to have a goodnight rest.
I smiled and grabbed my bag. I went inside the house and what she said is true! It's a cleaned, and well furnished too. I searched for the bedroom and found the Queen sized bed.
I lied down tiredly and slept in for the night. Tomorrow, I will be starting to do my mischief around. I hope Maman doesn't mind, hehe..
