Marinette's POV
I am now currently at 16 and my 17th birthday, is far from my reach. My 15th birthday was the worst. Especially when the whole fight with Bridgette happened.
My party ended a few minutes ago and this time, only Alya came. The boys wasn't able to go for their parents were busy, I missed them dearly.
Alya came inside my room, and said "Mari I will be leaving now." she said, I smiled and answered "Okay Alya, safe trips back.. Okay?" I said. She went up to me and hugged me as tight as she can. She will really miss me.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine.."
"I'll just miss you dearly girl. I just wanted you to know that, I won't be able to attend your 17th birthday next year. Me and my parents will go on a Family bonding with my siblings,"
"Mhm, it's okay Alya. At least you have siblings that love you, my sibling doesn't, which is leading to Bridgette.."
"Tsk, oh cheer up girl! Just to let you know, I will be here for you.. Always."
Alya said, she cheering me up makes me a billion times better. "Okay girl, I gotta go now.. Bye Mari, I'll miss you!" she said, as we released ourselves from the hug.
I waved goodbye and she waves back. She went over to the door and goes out from my room.
I smiled for a few seconds and that smile faded away. I already miss Alya's presence inside my room, I also miss Nino's too. Heh, I miss his jokes.
And mostly, I miss Adrien's. His presence with me in this huge room, makes me feel happy for once. I miss him so much.
The door opened and Maman was standing between two doors. I stand up and brush off the dust from my dress, "Marinette." she said calmly. "Maman.." I respond.
"Your Sister said.."
"Maman, whatever she says to you, believe me. It's not true, she's been lying--"
"Let me finish.. Marinette."
"S-Sorry Maman, please continue."
"Your Sister said that you slapped her a year ago."
"Ugh Maman! That was only on my 15th birthday! It's already over! Can't she move on from the incident?!"
"A Princess does not raise her voice! Marinette, a year or not, you should not seek violence towards your sister!"
"Maman! It was one year ago! Can't she get over it from just one slap?!"
"Enough! Marinette, you're 16 for goodness sake. Act like a grown up! You will be Queen someday and you will not ruin yours and my reputation at stake! Now, you will be grounded for the rest of your life! You will no longer have contact with anyone in this castle and outside the gates. I hope this would practice you to be Queen.."
"What?! You can't be serious Maman.."
"I am fully serious Marinette. I don't know what has gotten into you through these years, you were an angel back then but now, I don't know now.."
Maman leaves the room coldly and shuts the door behind her. I gently kneel on the floor and I started to sob, then that sobbing turned into crying. I covered my eyes and I couldn't care less if my makeup goes ruined.
"W-Why..."
I cry and cry, not wanting to stop. I clenched my fist as I heared Bridgette down the hallway. "Luci, can you lock that door? My sister went out to have fresh air." what? "Yes Princess Bridgette." Oh no,
I heared footsteps getting closer and louder. Then I heared an evil laugh that started to fade, I couldn't shout properly. My voice was shattered from crying. And I'm too weak to stand up and run. Too fragile,
Then suddenly, I heard my door made a click sound. Oh no, I'm stuck. I weakly stood up and made my way to the door, attempting to open it from the door knob but no use.
I used my left side of my body to lean on the door and gently broke down. I slowly let my body fall and continue to cry, shivering and lonely.
Maman has fallen on her back on me and now trusted Bridgette. I can't believe my own sister would do this to me, she betrayed me!
"If I became Queen someday, I will surely banish you from the land of China into some far away land where you belong. You don't deserved to be called a Princess Bridgette, you deserve to be called a Witch.."
I greeted my teeth and clenched my fists. I stood up, still shaking from what Bridgette did. Suddenly, the walls are starting to close. No, anxiety is hitting me. I'm scared.
"N-No!"
I attempted to run and I was successful, although, I fell on my knees. The walls are closing in on me! "N-No! S-Stop!" I screamed inside. My beating of my heart becomes timid and slow. My breathing so slow and shallow.
My surroundings becomes dark, everything inside my room, it begins to fade. Then the darkness swallowed everything my eyes ought to see.
"N-No.. Not this place again."
From Darkness, it became a Village.. On fire! Wait, this Village looks Familiar. "I-It's the China Village.." the whole Village is on fire. People running in devastation.
Screams can be heared everywhere, I slowly walk in fear, looking around the flaming village.
"O-Oh no.."
I walk around and I heared an Evil laugh somewhere. I walked towards on where I heared the laugh. The laugh came from..
"Marinette!"
I suddenly snapped out from my nightmare or a vision, perhaps I was just imagining them. But, I'm laying down on the floor like I slept.
"Marinette, are you alright?"
One of our Royal Maids rushed in, I hate it when someone locks my door. It leads me to anxiety, it closes my way of breathing.
I smile at her, "I.. I'm fine, you don't need to worry. I'm a Princess slash fighter! I'm perfectly fine.." I said reassuring, "Phew, call out to me if you need a help Princess.." she smiles, I nod and she left the room
I try to stand up, not being successful, I fell on the floor again. I sigh in defeat and try again, I'm not giving up that easily.
I will definitely tell Maman on what Bridgette did, she will pay and this time, I have strong proof that she, herself did it. But with a help from our Royal Maids. Luci the intern.
