Chapter 3: House of merlin

As the glowing came to a stop and Miss LayLesy did not say anything so I just walked back to my seat. Quite whispers could be herd though the teachers and captains. Looking up at me every so often.

"Now after that, the captains are going to call out the names of the members that they want in there house."

As they called the names out I could see that all of the group had be chosen but me and Jake did not have any people with him. "so the rest of you and in the House of merlin with your captain Jake."

Miss LayLesy and the rest of the teaches walk out whispering to each other as they did.

As we walked out of the building the Captains took there groups down the same path that Jake and I walked earlier towards the tree.

As we reached the tree I checked my phone and saw it was about three in the afternoon. After Jake gave me little tour of the school ground, I notched that people would stay away from me, everyone but Jake.

"Why are they acting like that, Jake?"

"You know when you enter Excalabist, and all the pillars lit up and pour into the holes."

"Yer I remember."

"Well that has never happen before. So they do not know what you are."

"Oh. So why don't you?"

"Because you seem nice so I don't judge you for one thing."

I looked at him and I seemed that he was not talking about me, so I did not want to talk about it more.

We continued to walk and I found out where the class rooms and some of the other houses, earth was this underground bunker and air was the floating island that sat just above the clouds.

"I show the library the how it works tomorrow and where the stadium, that where you will do most of your element training, well when we know what element your are."

"what do you mean by that?"

"well you know how everybody's else went down a certain path."

"yer, but... mine didn't... it went down all of them and pooled in the dots."

"well that has never happened before, in the history of this school. So they don't know what you are." He looked away after that and well just kept on walking past and couple of places including a lake which the water elements lived.

This school was huge is comparison to other I have looked at, it would have to be bigger than Hogwarts. Was this like Hogwarts, it seemed a lot like it... maybe J.K rolling went here... want element would she be? How else went here? I need to stop over thinking things.

I checked my phone again it was about four a clock.

"Now I am going to show you to the house of merlin, I think your stuff should now be in your rooms."

We walked back to the tree and took a path. As we walked I could see a house at the end of the path. I do not know why but I think I saw the house somewhere. "Is that the house from the painting?"

"Yer it is."

As we walk into the front door I could see a grand staircase that split into two, what I think looked like some hallways. Hanging above the stare case was a paint a merlin his self, this one looked older with his famous grey beard.

"This is the largest on campus with about twenty rooms, a gym, kitchen, games room, study and a pool out the back but we have the smallest amount of residents, with you here there is about eleven people. So I will show you to your room."

We walked up the stare case and Jake sent half of the group one way and took me and the others the other way. I got to the end of the hallway and I could see a door at the end with a tree on it and monster hanging from the tree.

As we got to the end, it was just me and Jake left. I could feel something strange coming from that door.

"Where does that door go to?"

"Nobody knows; no one can open the door. You room is the one on the left, mine is the one on the right."

"Cool, anything else I need to know?"

"Well you will be share a room with Dean, a water element. The rest of the rooms are little damaged and dusty."

"So I going to assume you don't like each other."

"who?" he asked with a confused face on.

"Dean? Your fire and he is water."

"Nar we have an understanding with each other."

I turned around and opened the door to my room. As I stepped in I could see my stuff on the bed on the far wall. On the other side of the room was posters of beaches and video games. I could see a surf board in one of the corners of deans side I assume.

I walked over to my bed and started to pull my stuff out. Place pictures of my friends and family and other stuff I had in my room.

As I was placing my stuff into the closet when someone walked in. I turned around to see a man about the same age as Jake.

"Hi I am Matthew; you must be Dean."

I went to give him a handshake. He grabs my hand a pulled me into a bro hug, slapping his hand on my back a little to hard.

"Hi, I am Dean." He looked like he belonged at a beach, his hair was surfer blond and his skin was tan. But he was wearing a hoodie and a beany, almost hipster. He was a mix of hipster and surfer.

"So where are you from, Matthew?"

"I am from Australia, Sydney. You?"

"California, USA. So want element are you?"

"I don't know."

"So you're the kid that everyone is talking about."

"Everyone?" really... great word gets around fast here.

"Yep, don't worry dude. I am going to go the pool, see you later."

He walked out, grabbing a towel as he did.

I finished unpacking everything. I checked my phone, 5:30. Hearing my stomach growl.

I walk out and headed down stairs and walked into what looked like games room and watched everyone either move to the next room or move further away for me. I found a couch in the corner and sat down.

I pulled out my phone and started reading a book from Wattpad as Jake walked in and sat down next to me.

"So we have the weekend before we start our classes, want are you going to do."

"I think I am going to go to the library tomorrow, I going to try and find out want is wrong with me."

"Don't worry, I will show you the library tomorrow. Let's go eat, I think it is pasta tonight."
