Time had gone by very fast but I wasn't ready to go back just yet something in me said I wasn't done on land. I thinking it has something to do with the prince but I don't know, one thing I do know is he asked me to talk to him today in about an hour so Alyssa is helping me get ready for it.
"I know he will ask you to marry him" she says as she straightened my hair getting all the stupid curls.
"What the hell" I laugh "were did that come from!"
" Oh come on he looks at you all the time and you look at him" she squeals " plus he is rich...so you know...not a bad life to have."
I just role my eyes and let out a little chuckle. Honestly I dont look at him for the reason she thinks I do but I wont tell her that because she will just jump into it more and get really, super annoying about it but I don't complain. I learned not to.
By the time I was completely Ray-Ray knocked on the door " oh...um...hey are you going to the prince right now? I thouht it wasn't until later"
" Oh. No. Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked as we started walking down the hall.
" No I just wanted to see if you wanted to watch the sun rise with me" I said rubbing the back of his neck.
" Sorry. I can't maybe when we are back in the sea later today we can watch then sun set" I softly smiled as we walked up to the door were I was meeting the prince.
" Oh...ok...see you later then" Hz walked away with that and I felt really bad that I couldn't spend time with him. Honestly I have spent the least time with him since we got here.
FLASH BACK TIME:
" We are always going to hang out, right Rachael?" Ray-Ray giggled as we played around the kingdom.
" Of couse we are best friends forever. Now come on its time to watch the sun set" I replied
"I will beat you there" and with that he dashed off and I followed, we bumped into others and disturbing the piece. You know what us 8 year olds do.
We got to our spot to watch the sun set but there was something blocking us. CLOUDS. It was really scary thunder crashed, lightning struck in the water, a whale that was going up for air was hit with lightning. We didn't know if we should more or not. Ray-Ray looked over and saw me crying, because my mom told me 'when lightning strikes another someone is losing their family for ever and all we can do is wish them the best'.
" Hey. Don't cry, I'm here for you" he whispered I'm my ear holding me.
I looked up at him with a smile, a little one but nevertheless a smile. He looked down back at me and placed a small kiss on my lips a soft little kiss. When he pulled away he was blushing, because that was both of ours first kiss I wished it lasted a little longer.
" What was that for" I asked him.
" I don't know but you stopped crying and I really like you" he mumbled the last part.
" You what?" I giggled.
" I...like...you..." he mumbled again
" I'm sorry I didn't catch that" I teased him.
" Shut up" he laughed and jumped back into the water leaving me on land.
" HEY DON'T LEAVE ME" I yelled following him.
On our way back we saw Aaron, Alyssa, ans Michael messing with some tailless kids. We swam up the them, and the kids didn't look like they were ok or breathing at all honestly.
" Hey. What are they?" I asked Alyssa
" Humans" she said in a happy voice
" What is a 'human' and where are its fins?" Ray-Ray questioned them
" A human is a fin,tail,gill less animal" Aaron answered " my dad told me that in stead of tails and fins to swim with they have legs and feet to talk with"
" How does he know all of that" a little fish asked swimming up to us he was yellow and blue with very sharp teeth sticking out of his bitten lip " if you dont mind me jumping in?"
"WHO ARE YOU?!" Aaron snapped he hates when others jump into our conversions
" I'm Dawn and you guys are drowning the 'humans' if that's what they are" he said
" Hi. I'm Rachael, this is Ray-Ray, Alyssa, Michael,and Aaron" I introduced us
" Nice to met all of you" Dawn said " now back to my question, how does he know all of that?"
" He knows it because he has been near them, talked to them even he told me they-"
" WAIT THEY ARE DROWNING ?!" I cut Aaron off " Ray-Ray help me get them above water"
He helped me with them they coughed and then woke up they kinda pryed their eyes open and threw up water. Their eyes met ours and the boy stared at me while the girl had lovey eyes for Ray-Ray I almost laughed at the fact that she wasn't even blinking just staring.
" What are you" Ray-Ray asked the boy breaking the stare from me and the girl found the same about him
" The same thing you are humans" he said, both of us laughed
" We aren't-" I started but was interrupted
"RACHAEL AND RAYMOND GET OVER HERE NOW" my dad yelled
" Well bye" me and Ray-Ray said that the same time.
PRESENT TIME:
I walked into the room with the prince in it and 4 guards with red and black outfits and a sword at each of their sides waiting to protect the prince.
" Hello Rachael" he prince said
" Sup P.C." I said relax even though I was scared out if my mind
" P.C., what that? " he wondered
" Well your name is Chris and your a prince so Prince Chirs equals P.C. " I said smirking
" ...Ok..." he pause but started again " so I wanted ask why are you all leaving and where are you going?"
" Um... how did you know we leaving?" I wondered
" I heard Michael talking to Aaron about it" he said
" Oh" I had to think of something because saying ' we're going back to the sea because 2 of us are mermaids and the other 4 are sharks and a fish, bye P.C.' she how crazy that would sound " my dad wrote a letter to us saying that its time for us to come home"
" I see" he said " will you be back ?"
" I have no idea" never but I couldn't say that.
" I was going to ask you something else but I don-"
" Ask away" I interrupted
" Will you marry me?" he got down on one knee.
Well Alyssa called it.
