With each step Amy took, she felt like she was going to throw up as she felt the baby kick inside her stomach incessantly, probably because she hadn't eaten in a while. She would keep setting goals to where she would walk to, forcing herself forwards until she reached it and chose another goal to reach.

Mark seemed to sense something was wrong with Amy as he slowed down a little so he could walk by her side.

"You okay?" He asked her quietly.

"Other than feeling like I'm going to throw up constantly, I feel just peachy." She replied sarcastically.

"Is the baby kicking?" Mark asked somewhat hopefully.

"Yeah." She sighed, laying a hand down on her stomach.

Mark gently laid his hand on top of hers, a large smile spreading across his face as he felt the baby kick.

"They're strong, just like you." Amy giggled softly.

"No, they're strong like you." Mark corrected her, kissing her on the cheek.

"How will we find anyone in this place, it's like a giant freaking impossible maze!" Jack hissed in frustration. Mark and Amy could tell that Jack was greatly worried about Signe, yet he didn't voice his concerns. Instead, he just walked faster.

Jack however did have a point. They had been walking for what felt like hours and yet they hadn't seen any other rooms, just endless corridors.

"It's like watching mice run around trying to look for cheese." The Queen's voice echoed around them. They looked around, but couldn't see any signs of her anywhere.

"I'm not in there with you sillies." She laughed, the tone maniacal.

"What do you think of Serum Lab 0-12? This is the last one unfortunately since all my previous ones were discovered and eliminated thanks to you." She snarled bitterly.

"Just tell us how to get out of here you-"

"Ah ah ah, language." The Queen cut Jack off.

"But I have both good and bad news for you. The good news is that you're almost out, congratulations! The bad news...well, I planted a bomb that will go off in approximately one minute. Tick tock." She laughed again before hung silent.

Eyes wide in fear, Mark and Amy exchanged glances before sprinting down the rest of the hallway with Jack in the lead.

Amy tripped over her own feet and almost fell, Mark catching her by the arm and helping her regain her balance as they continued.

The pain in Amy's stomach was unbearable as she swallowed the bile rising in her throat down, focusing on Mark as she held his hand in hers, his grip tight as if he let go then she would disappear.

"M-Mark, I can't keep going." Amy panted for air, the world seeming to spin around her as Mark scooped her up in his arms bridal style with a grunt, his forehead beaded with sweat and face a mask of grim determination.

"I can do this, I can do this," Amy heard Mark chant under his breath as he ran, turning yet another corner.

Up ahead was a door. They were almost free.

There was a loud boom behind them, making Amy look behind them before instantly regretting the decision. A plume of orange and blue fire was close behind them, threatening to engulf them as they pushed through the doors at the last second, climbing into the cramped elevator at the end of the hall. The elevator rocked side to side violently for a moment as they explosion washed over it before becoming stable again, slowly beginning its ascent.

"What if..." Jack trailed off, unable to make himself finish the sentence.

Mark and Amy knew what he was going to say since they were thinking the same thing to. What if their friends were still down there?

Mark pushed away the thought as he looked over at Amy. Her entire body was slick with sweat, her breathing ragged.

"The baby." She grimaced in pain, sliding to a sitting position on the floor of the elevator.

"Oh my god." Mark felt his face go pale as he looked over at Jack, his expression stunned. She was going into labor, and neither of them knew what to do.

"Just hang on, we're almost out." Mark squeezed her hand reassuringly.

Then the elevator froze.

Mark muttered a string of curse words as he pried the elevator doors open, motioning for Jack to start climbing the cables connected to the elevator as he allowed Amy to wrap her arms around his chest as he started climbing as well.

Mark could see Jack visibly shaking from fear of heights as he wrapped his feet around the cable like a monkey, using his arms to help pull him up.

Amy was breathing heavily, her grip on Mark suffocating as she sang different songs under her breath to help her focus on anything but the pain she felt.

As soon as Mark reached the top, he laid Amy down while he helped Jack the rest of the way up.

"Where are we?" Jack observed his surroundings.

"The Buckingham Palace." Mark whispered unable to believe his luck. It was in a hallway that connected to the throne room.

"Who's here?" A security guard froze when he saw Amy, Mark and Jack.

"We'll explain later, I need to take her to a hospital." Mark gestured to Amy.

Sensing the urgency in his tone, the guard nodded and had them come with him into his car. He drove well above the speed limit, but no one bothered mentioning it. That was the least of their concerns at the moment.

As soon as they stepped through the doors, Amy was whisked away on a stretcher with Mark by her side, his hand never letting go of hers mainly because Amy's grip was as strong as iron.

"Push." The doctor instructed calmly.

Amy did as she asked, biting her lip to keep from screaming.

The process was grueling and painful for both Mark and Amy. He hated to see her going through so much pain. That and he felt like his hand was being smashed underneath an elephant's foot.

"It's a girl." The doctor announced, cleaning the baby up and swaddling it in a pink towel before carefully handing her to Amy.

"She's beautiful Amy, just like you." Mark cooed, smiling as he watched the baby squirm in Amy's arms while crying.

"She's certainly loud like you." She teased.

"What are we going to call her?" Amy looked up from the baby at Mark.

"Segen." He tested the name out on his tongue.

"German for blessing." He explained.

"I love it. Hello Segen." Amy smiled as she watched Segen open her eyes for the first time, the color cobalt blue exactly like Amy's.
