My day went by relatively quickly. I had lecturers every hour for the entire day so by the time 5pm came around I was so grateful that it signaled the end of my incredibly long day. I packed up my books said goodbye to my friends and the lecturer and went to the back exit of the Uni.

As I walked out of the building I plugged in my Ipod and put the headphones over my head. I had it on shuffle and slightly giggled to myself when a piece of music came on from one of Roberts films called The Soloist. The piece is called Four Billion Years, it's my favorite on the whole album from the movie. I start moving my hand that's at my side like a conductor would. Not that I know anything about conducting, it's just something I do. When suddenly I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist spining me around. Dazed and confused I look to see who it is and to my utter surprise it's Robert who is grinning like a mad man.

I shout “what are you doing? You scared me half to death!”

He takes the headphones off my head and places them around my neck and says “god keep it down will you?”

“Excuse me but who is the one who sneaked up on me?” I say while raising one eyebrow.

“True but I was calling you for a while but you had these darn things on so couldn't hear me”

I mouth the O shape and slightly nod my head. As I didn't have a chance to press stop on my Ipod the music continued to play loud enough to be heard without the need to wear the headphones.

“What are you listening to?” Robert says while pressing his ear against one of the headphones, placing his head dangerously close to my chest. It takes me a second to recover.

“Its a piece of music from the film The Soloist, you should know you where in it Mr Lopez” I say more than a little bit sarcastically.

“Ah yeah I do know it!” he says as if a light bulb just turned on over his head.

“It's a great piece of music”

“It sure is” “So Robert what are you doing here?”

“oh I came to give you a ride home” he says while pointing at his car.

“My savior” I say mockingly as I really was not looking forward to my hour long walk home after an already tiring day.

His car was an Audi R8, oh my it was amazing. I had been educated about the finer things in life from my father. I guess he wanted to give me something to aim for in life, well it worked because this car I was now staring at was my dream car. Robert lead me over to where the car was parked and opened my door for me. I got in unable to say anything still in shock that I was not only in my dream car but with my dream man. He got in his side started the engine and drove off. I was literally sitting there not wanting to touch anything for fear of breaking it, I kept turning my head and looking at the car in different angles until I was snapped out of it by a smooth voice asking

“So you like the car then?”

“hell yeah!” was all I was going to say before returning to my Audi trance but the rational part of my brain spoke up again and thought “he was probably expecting a longer answer than that” so I attempt to explain why I had this reaction to this car.

“Look I should explain why I love this car. When I was growing up my father didn't live me and my mother but I saw him every weekend. He would pick up me and go to his house or sometimes just go for a drive. So as I grew up I taught myself about cars so I would have something to talk to him about, a mutual interest if you will. Anyway that turned into a genuine love of cars. And this is by far my favorite one”.
