As Suiren walked away from Kakashi, she wiped a tear from her eye. I'm sure Ginsei wouldn't hurt us. Especially because he's my father. Suiren thought. "What's wrong, my little flower? Who were you talking to?" Asked Ginsei. Suiren smiled as brightly as she could. "Just my boyfriend. Anyway, let's go to the cabin to get your things. We're taking you back to Konoha with us." Suiren said, trying to ignore the fight she and Kakashi just had. Ginsei smiled and turned in the direction of the cabin, and Suiren called Kokuyōseki and Jacques over. As they left for the cabin, Suiren looked at Kakashi, gave a weak smile, and waved goodbye. Kakashi waved back, then turned back to Hiro, who was making a fire. "Worried?" Asked Hiro. Kakashi nodded. "Very. I don't trust Ginsei. Did you see how he killed his own teammate? Actually, he was just his lackey, but still... that man is ruthless." Kakashi said, grabbing a leaf and ripping it apart piece by piece.
When they got to the cabin, Ginsei asked Kokuyōseki and Jacques to sit in the living room and wait for them. Kokuyōseki looked worried as Suiren went off into another part of the cabin with Ginsei. As she walked into a small room, Suiren saw that it was a little girls' room. There were pink flowers on the wall and little girl toys all over the floor. The bed was pink and there were stuffed animals on it. But there was one that caught Suiren's eye. A tattered little rabbit stuffy was sitting in the center of all the others that were on the bed.
"Suiren, this is for you. What are you gonna call it?" Said a voice. Little Suiren looked up at her father. "Snuggles!" She shouted. Her father laughed and gave her the rabbit. "Snuggles it is." He said, and patted her on the head. Little Suiren laughed and dragged the stuffy around with her. Then, she was outside and it started to rain. Little Suiren was dragging the little stuffed rabbit on the grass and through the puddles. When she got back inside, she looked at Snuggles and started crying. Her father then came over to her to see what was wrong, and Suiren showed him her bunny. Her father smiled and patted her head. "It's ok, Suiren. Daddy just needs to give Snuggles a bath." He said.
A tear fell down Suiren's cheek. "Snuggles... That's... my bunny, Snuggles..." She said, walking towards the small ragged stuffed animal. There were cuts and tears on the stuffed rabbit. Suiren smiled softly at Snuggles. She picked up the small stuffed animal, her fingers rekindling with the soft fur. She stopped as she felt a cut in the fur. Turning the rabbit over she looked at the laceration in confusion."You don't remember that do you?" Suiren gazed behind her. Ginsei approached her slowly. He stood beside her and looked down at the battered rabbit. "This made your mother leave me." His eyes were filled with sadness and recollection. "What happened?" Suiren asked. "I wasn't careful. I still regret it to this day." He took her hand and observed it. "I'm glad it didn't scar...." Ginsei said. "Dad?" "I found you playing with my shuriken. Not only did you slash Snuggles, but your own hand. I remember the blood and your cries. I lost it after that day. I was so scared of you getting hurt." He looked away from her but held on to her hand tightly. "Your mother left me shortly after that...." Ginsei said. A small tear fell from his eye, and he wiped it away. "I'm just glad I've got my precious flower back." He said, letting go of Suiren's hand. "Dad, could I... take Snuggles back to Konoha with us? I could sew up the back." Suiren said, clutching the stuffed rabbit. Ginsei smiled. "Of course. I'll go get my things, why don't you stay here for a bit, ok?" Suiren nodded and hugged Snuggles tightly. As Ginsei left the room, Suiren sat down on the bed and stroked Snuggles' fur. I can't believe I never remembered this until now... I wonder what mom would say if I met dad and she was still alive? Suiren thought. A few minutes passed and there was a knock at the cabin door. Suiren heard it open and then heard footsteps. "Where's Suiren? Is she ok?" Asked a voice. "Kakashi! I'm in here." Suiren called. More footsteps followed and finally, Kakashi was at the door to her old room. Suiren smiled as he came in and sat on the bed. "Hey. What's wrong?" She asked. Kakashi sighed with relief. "Thank goodness you're ok... I was getting really worried." He said, pulling Suiren into a hug. Suiren smiled again and hugged him back. "I guess... Ginsei really is your father, huh?" Kakashi said. Suiren laughed. "Yeah. I think he's ok now. As long as he can be with me, I think he'll be fine." Suiren said. Kakashi nodded. There was silence for a moment, until Kakashi opened his mouth. "You know I love you, right? More than anything." Suiren looked at him and kissed his cheek. "I know. I love you too, Kakashi." She said. Just then, Ginsei came into the room with a bag full of his things. "Alright. I'm ready to go." He said, and walked in the direction of the door.
