I stared at the ceiling. I never really liked the fact of sleeping somewhere else than my own comfy bed at home. I sighed and looked over to Calli’s bed. She was already sleeping in her Hello Kitty pajama, which she had cheerfully showed to me. I looked over at the clock. 11:26pm. Yesterday was an eventful day and I should be able to sleep like a princess, but I keep thinking about Lyric and the looks he gave Aidyn. I made a mental note to ask Calli about what happened between Lyric and Aidyn.

I had spend quite some time trying to get the pizza stains off the wall, and even cut myself on a piece of the plate. Lyric and Tyler went out and Aidyn stayed in his room, so Calli and I watched a movie together and went to bed. In my bed I tried to figure out what I thought of my first day. I missed my dad, but I was also away from Carol, which was a yay. My roommates really took me in right away, aside from Aidyn and his fights with Lyric. I wonder how long their kindness to me would last. I wondered how it was going back at home. If my friends missed me already. Maybe they even started a protest in front of my house. I imaged them with horribly made signs ‘Free Avery!’

I rolled my eyes and pushed myself up, I couldn’t sleep like this. I swung my legs from the bed and shoved my feet into my slippers. Silently I creeped out of the room. I flung myself on the couch and turned on the TV. After a while of mindlessly changing the channels I noticed that there’s nothing really special on TV and I avert my eyes to a shelf with DVD’s. A grin played on my face as I jumped up and started going through them. I started to figure that this shelf held mixed DVD’s, because there was horror, action movies and Disney movies. The Disney movies were probably from Calli.

“This one is good.” A hand went over my shoulder and grabbed a DVD. My heart got caught in my throat and as if I was any good at defending myself I turned quickly but fell on my butt. Aidyn was looking at the DVD he was holding. “I- I didn’t hear you come in.” I said, overcoming my shock

“Maybe you need better hearing?” He asked while still focusing on the DVD. He turned on the DVD player and put the disk in. He then walked over to the couch and grabbed the remote. I on the other hand was still trying to breathe normally. “Are you gonna watch too?” He asked me.

I was completely shocked. So the guy who thinks I’m his problem, want me to watch a movie with him? I crossed my arms stubbornly and was about to say no way when Aidyn looked up at me, waiting for an answer. There was no hint of anger mischievous intent. I sighed, “Sure.” I flung myself on the couch next to him. Surprisingly he didn’t get up and sit somewhere else. I smiled in satisfaction and crossed my legs on the couch.

Aidyn pressed play and a movie began to play. I noticed it was I Am Legend. That movie with Will Smith that I refused to watch because I heard a dog died in it. However I was interested in the plot.I tried to keep my concentration on the screen, instead of thinking that this is totally awkward.

I found myself actually enjoying this moment alone with Aidyn. I smiled, but suddenly I felt weight on my shoulder. Aidyn had fallen asleep. I tried my best not to giggle so I wouldn’t wake him up. The sight was funny though, Aidyn the big grumpy guy, now looked so sweet and innocent. And ew, he drools! I sighed, and the movement of my shoulders made Aidyn fall onto my lap. Now this was getting awkward. I tried to shift my legs, but this caused Aidyn to moan, and he turned around on his side, placing his arm on my legs too. Did he think I was his pillow?

‘Greeaaat!’ I said quietly to myself.

“What is?” Lyric’s sleepy voice scared me. He walked out of his room and was rubbing his eyes. Again, shirtless. I think I can get used to that sight. I grinned at the thought, but my grin made place for laughter when Aidyn moaned again.

Lyric’s head cocked to the side at the noise and walked over to me. He held his hand in front of his mouth to stop himself from laughing. “That’s hilarious!” He said as soft as he could. “I’ve gotta take a picture of this.” And with that Lyric turned around and sneaking back into his room to grab something to take a picture with. “No, Ly…” I tried to stop him.
