(Oneshot) Mystery's Day Off

Finally got around to doing one of the requests.

This one's from @Ahrielia (who requested a very very long time ago and I only just got around to actually finishing it so rip @ me :

'Description: Myst and Glaze go on a 'date' to the amusement park but they won't call it a date and end up making fun of eachother the entire time.'

My Synopsis: It's one of Mystery's rare days off of her busy new job as a homicide detective, and she plans to spend it in the company of her three best friends. However, lives don't line up, and Jace and Amber are forced to cancel, leaving only Mystery herself and a less-than-enthusiastic Glaze to carry out her ideal day of fun at Equestria's Wonderland.

"Glaze, wake up you butthead, don't you know what day it is?!" I growled, shaking the yellow pegasus violently.

He groaned and rolled over to face me. "What?"

"It's my day off. My day off. You promised me Equestria's Wonderland."

He groaned again and buried himself deeper under the covers. "5 more minutes..."

"No, asshole, it's 9:00, the park opens at 10:00 and if we don't get there before it opens the lineups will be insaneeee..." I whined, plopping down beside him on the bed.

"You sound like a spoiled 2-year-old." He slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Fine. Make me breakfast and I'll be there in a second."

"Make you breakfast?" I frowned.

He rolled out of bed. "Cereal. Toast. Whatever, I don't care. Just get me something."

I snorted and made my way downstairs, hastily pouring him a bowl of cereal and setting it out on the table with a glass of orange juice.

My actions were interrupted by the ring of the phone, and I hurried to pick it up before the answering machine took over.

"Hello?"

"Hey Myst."

"Jace! Hey!" I leaned against the counter. "Are you ready for today? I can't wait, it'll be just like when we were little!"

The other mare paused. "Uh... Yeah, about that... I'm really sorry Mystery, I know this is last minute, and I was looking forwards to Equestria's Wonderland, I really was, but my boss just called. He needs me to take an extra shift today, so I'm not going to be able to make it. You guys will have to go without me."

I was taken aback by this sudden change of plan. "What? No, Jace..."

"I'm sorry, I truly am."

I sighed deeply. "Ah, no, it's fine. I'm sure I'll have another day off at some point, we can go then."

"No, no, don't let me hold you up. You and Glaze can go. It'll be like a date."

"... A what? Jace, you know it's not like that-"

"Isn't it?"

"He's not my boyfriend!"

"Isn't he?"

I scowled. "Look, I... I don't really know, It's... Complicated. That's not the point though. We were suppose to go together, like back when we were little. We were going to go on all of our old favourite rides, just like we used to."

"Maybe next time. Come on, you'll have lots of fun. You can tell me all about it tomorrow, I expect details."

I rolled my eyes. "Jace..."
