Darkest Hour

Y/N POV
"Please go with us Y/N! I know parties aren't your scene but you know you lit." Nicki smirked at me.
"Nick-" GCO
"Hoe! Just go, Bey bout to be there anyway." Ashley smirked at me. Ash is the only one that knows of my crush on Bey but she got a big mouth so...

"Ash, you just wanna dance with her so she'll hire you." Nicki laughed.
"But Y/N wants to see her more than I do." Ash mumbled loud enough for me to hear. I didn't say anything as they continued getting ready.
"Y/N PLEASE!!" They said in unison. I sighed before looking between the two, my best friends wanted to take me to a party as their plus one but I'd rather stay home and eat.

"There's supposed to be ribs." Nicki mumbled before walking to the bathroom. I jumped off the bed, "I'M GOING!"

As we walked aimlessly around the party I didn't see Bey anywhere.
"Ash where is she?" I whispered to Ash as she talked with John.
"Oh John, this is one of my best friends Y/N." She introduced me instead of actually answering me.
"Hi." I smiled shortly before feeling a tap on my shoulder.

I turned to see Bey smirking at me with a plate of ribs.
"Nicki told me you only came for the food... and me."
"I definitely didn't only come for the food. I will take the ribs though." I said, making her laugh.

"So, how long are you in LA?" I asked as we walked to a table.
"Only 1 more week and I go back to Houston. Then I come back up here in 2 weeks." She explained to me as I ate my ribs.

"How long are you here?" She smirked.
"Really until Nick or Ash get a gig." I shrugged.
"So you're Ashley's hype man she was talking about?" She laughed. I looked at her sideways as she calmed herself down.
"When Ashley went to auditions she said she'd always have one other person with her. I thought it was her man but she said it was gonna be her 'hype man'. She never told me it was you though." She giggled.

"Hey, my girl gotta do something imma make sure she do it to the best. Whether she's fighting or drinking." I laughed. Her smile dropped at 'my girl'.
"Oh, so you and Ashley...?" She trailed off.
"Me and... Bey you are hilarious." I laughed. She looked at me confused as Ash walked over to us.

"Ash, you made my girl Bey over here think we were dating. The fuck you saying in the streets?" I laughed as she picked up one of my ribs.
"Oops! I ain't mean for it to sound like that. Y/N's my girl, like we been riding with each other since middle school. She's all yours BeyBey." She winked. Bey looked at me and I winked at her, making her blush. She tried to hide her face but I held her hands down.
"Don't hide, you cute when you blush." I said before kissing her cheek.

"Oop! I think John's calling me, gotta go!" Ash said before taking my plate and leaving.
"She took my ribs." I pretended to pout.
"Oh, don't worry baby. I'll-" She stopped herself as my face probably lit up like a lightbulb. She blushed before throwing her head down and standing up.
"I'll get you more." She tried to walk away.

"No! Um-" I cleared my throat.
"I mean, you don't have to."
She looked at me confused for a second.
"I'd rather you be here than run to get me food. I was full anyway." I lied. She smiled and sat back down.

Bey and I have been talking for a while about... whatever.
"When I told Kelly to look for him she found him in the-" GCO
Her phone rang and she quietly looked at the screen.

"You can get it if you need." I suggested.
"Really? It's my mom, I think it may be an emergency." She asked. I furrowed my brows and nodded my head.
"Of course. Answer it, I'll even walk you to the back door." I offered. She agreed and I walked her to the back door so she could hear her Ma better.

When she was finished with the call it looked like she was about to cry.
"You okay babe?" I asked, grabbing her hand.
"My sister just got in an accident, I... I-" GCO
"I'll take you, what hospital?" I asked, already walking her to the car.
"Mercy. You don't have to, I can just-" GCO
"I don't like cutting you off so just let me. I know your sister so I'd like to see if she's okay too." I said trying to make her feel better. She nodded and I helped her into the back seat.

I told the driver where to go and he took off.
"Y/N, what if she broke a bone? What if she's unconscious? What if she's-" GCO
I cut her off once again but this time with a gentle kiss. She kissed me back almost immediately and started scooting closer to me. I pulled away and she rested her head on my chest as my arms wrapped around her waist.

"Shh, she'll be okay. I promise." I whispered.
